On 5 April, the gorilla herd at the Kolmården another addition, as Babule and Enzo had their first baby together, a small male gorilla. The involuntary tourists' guide to Sweden
A circus performer from French Guiana, a Ukrainian dancer and a British couple - these are some of the people stranded in Sweden during the pandemic. Recently, Visit Sweden launched "The involuntary tourists' guide to Sweden". The guide, available on Visit Sweden, introduces 11 people, tells their stories from their time in Sweden and shares their best holiday tips.
"With my converted van, I've tried to explore Sweden as much as possible given the restrictions and the need to be coronavirus safe. One place I have really come to love is Lofsdalen, Härjedalen, with its wonderful, wild nature", says French-Guyanese circus artist Nikolas Pulka.
Reflection of the week
The press releases we receive are still very much about Sweden. It will probably be a Swedish summer for many Swedes. Maybe more trips abroad in the autumn?

Fun with the guide of the involuntary tourists 🙂 .
Funny also that tourism is starting to get air under the wings, even if it will mostly be domestic. There are a lot of nice things to look at and visit in Sweden as well 🙂.
Have a great start to the week!

What a prize to be "stuck" in Sweden during this period. It has been one of the most open countries throughout the pandemic.

It will probably be a home holiday for most people this year as well, so you might as well focus on Swedish destinations. You did the Göta Kanal last year, so it will be exciting to read which part of Sweden you end up in this year.
The baby gorilla is sooooo cute, too bad it will grow up, then it's not so cute anymore;-) When I hear Enzo I think of Ferrari cars. If the kid's name starts with "E", the kid should be named Enrico;-)
Love the van this guy built. Talk about rustic, but how delicious. Nice that he and the others took the opportunity to holiday in Sweden.

Speaking of unwilling
The husband called it 'unplanned sightseeing',
when we got lost on the roads.
It's easy to take the wrong EXIT, for example, and end up in a
cute little town. 🙂
