Now we are home in the houseboat between two motorhome trips. So, oh what fun it has been! What a freedom it is travelling around with the campervan! All tiredness disappeared and we had lots of energy to check out new places. Now we want to go out again soon!

Being out with the campervan again
It is almost impossible to put into words how much fun it was to be out with the motorhome again. After this pandemic year, one is perhaps unusually grateful for all the new impressions, but yes, it was really fun! We have looked for castles, read, seen new places and had a cosy time in the motorhome.
Castle tour south of Lake Mälaren
It was a castle trip on the southern side of Lake Mälaren. We have actually had time to see even more castles than the ones we wrote about, but the last ones we saw we might save and write about at another time. Here are the castle reports from the trip:
April weather
Talk about April weather! We had fantastic weather almost the whole trip. The sun was warm, the flowers were colourful, the rabbits hopped around the motorhome and it was tempting to have an ice cream at the harbour cafés.
And then... one morning we woke up to the sound of snow. No, but what happened?
The flowers must have been caught off guard, too. Talk about a miscalculation!

Best this week
Best thing this week? The motorhome trip of course! It has been great fun to go out on the road again. In the evenings there has been both cosiness and work in the motorhome. What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
Now that we've got a taste for it, we'll be heading out again! You'll see where it goes... You can also expect a report on one of the cities we visited, and how we fared with our grey water problems!

So much fun that you can travel again, and what an inspiring castle trip! I will be curious to see where it goes next time 🙂
For me, travelling feels remote, the provinces are still closed in Andalusia, so I can't even go to Ikea and buy the long-awaited bed:-) On the other hand, I enjoy the new house enormously and don't want to leave it even during the weekend. Jesús and the kids get to go by themselves and hike with friends on Sunday, I stay here. The best part of this week is every moment in the garden, when I go outside and study the lemon buds, vines and the big leaves of the fig tree, and of course when the help came to clear the big blackberry bushes!

Surely it's fun with a motorhome premiere even though ours was only two nights! Now we are working like crazy with clearing the house because we got a month earlier move in and today in four weeks we will hopefully go to bed in our new apartment. Best to work while it rains, storms and snows so we can go out and travel if the weather gets better.

So you almost forget how much fun it is to leave home, suddenly you can do anything and understand that you are still completely normal, haha. We were out on an adventure for three days and it was absolutely wonderful.
Wishing you a nice weekend without hail and wind, but when you've had a good time, you can handle some of that too.

How wonderful that your trip was so successful! Yes, this must be the perfect way to travel right now: in a motorhome.
One of the best things about the week, I think, is that we have brought out the outdoor furniture. A sure sign of spring! But the April weather does not give up, haha. It's snowing in Strängnäs right now!
