Now we are travelling around Öland! We know, we are behind on the blog. There has been so much going on lately, so we haven't had time to catch up. But it has been interesting and fun. Happy Friday!

Finally Öland
We visited Öland about eight years ago, together with Peter's youngest son Billie and his girlfriend. That time we hung out at Sonja's campsite in Löttorp, had dinner at the restaurant The Lamb and the Pig and strolled around the Borgholm.
Since then we haven't been back, and we knew that there was a lot of Öland that we hadn't had time to see. Now it has become a tour among windmills, ancient castles, ferries, cows, fantastic natural areas and beautiful beaches.
We have travelled around by motorhome, by electric bike and on foot. We really like Öland, it is so close to nature and almost exotic. We will of course tell you more about our experiences soon! Have you been here? What did you think, and what are your tips?
The magazine goes to print
If you follow our blog, you know that we will be publishing a printed magazine this summer. The deadline for the articles was a while ago, and since then we have been working on getting the last adverts in and making all the final "small corrections". Today the magazine goes to the printers. It feels amazing, but also unreal and a bit nervous.
Where to find the magazine? This is a free magazine distributed together with the magazine "Husbil och Husvagn på väg". It will be available at the reception of 600 campsites between Mora and Ystad and at about 100 motorhome and caravan dealers, in a total of 100,000 copies. We will also post the magazine digitally, so you who can't find it out there will also be able to take part in it!
Best this week
The best thing this week is our fantastic experiences on Öland. We have seen several interesting and exciting sights - but above all it is nice to experience the fantastic nature and almost exotic environment! Below you see our lunch spot yesterday, not bad!
We can also show a picture from one of our evenings here on the island, so nice! We took this picture on a short walk from Tokenäs camping outside Byxelkrok. Can you highlight something that has been positive during your week?
The week ahead
We are hopelessly behind on the blog, so there will be stories about Kristianopel and Växjöand only then Öland. We are then travelling towards squid!

So glad you are on Öland, my favourite place in Sweden. Have not been there since 2007 but in two weeks I will hopefully go there and the plan is that there will be several visits there this summer. 🙂

Congratulations on the magazine going to print now! I will probably have to wait until it comes out digitally, because I guess there will be no delivery points in Spain and we have no plans to leave the country this year as it looks now.
Öland is sooo heavenly nice! Have been there a lot because Anders' big sister and husband live there. But it was a while ago, have not been in Sweden at all for over 7 years ...
The best thing about the week has been a lot of meetings with good friends. It's nice that things are starting to loosen up a bit now, but of course we continue to be careful.
Have a nice Friday!

So glad to have found my way back to you and via FB. I have seen that you have been in my old neighbourhood Karlskrona. I have my oldest daughter still in Karlskrona who updates the situation. The archipelago in Blekinge is absolutely fantastic and Karlskrona as a city. Öland I have been and visited long John and a campsite with various water activities. This is over 30 years ago so much has happened since then. Kristianopel is an idyllic village that should be seen if you have the roads towards Kalmar.
Glad you have created a magazine=) Good luck!!!
Hugs

Oh, I could have told you a lot about Växjö.
On Öland, the favourites are Ölands Södra Udde and Vickleby with Capellagården. The eastern coastal road down there is nice.

What a wonderful week to spend on beautiful Öland. We have also had a nice but windy week out in Kungshamn and continued motorhome excursion with friends to the golf course outside Karlsborg.
Great for you that the magazine is going to print now!

I realise that you must have been under pressure before the magazine went to press, but now it's done.

How nice that the magazine is now in print! And great that it will also be available digitally.
Öland is really nice and I have good friends who have a house here right on the Kalmarsund so there have been many visits over the years.
If "Kackelstugan" is open, it is always nice to visit as well as hiking on Allvaret. Öland offers a lot of everything. Have been to many concerts at the castle ruins but I guess there are none this summer.
Keep up the good work.

Lovely pictures also from Öland! The whole trip has been a wonderful and sunny adventure - fantastic timing!
It's great that you put the magazine online. I thought that the magazine would be sold as a supplement in the newspaper even at newsagents. But I was wrong.
18 June 2021 - 20:33
Helena says:
It's been a fantastic trip, and the weather is a huge plus!!! It is possible that we have been unclear about the magazine, but that is not the intention. It's a free magazine (funded by advertising) that will be available at campsites and motorhome dealers, as well as an online version.

Excited about the magazine! Good luck, I know what it's like to print in bulk.
Öland has a special place in my life. My grandmother had a summer house there, so I spent my childhood summers there until I was 14 years old.
