Finland eases entry restrictions - Viking Line opens Helsinki service
Finland is easing entry restrictions from 21 June 2021, allowing all Schengen and EU citizens, including travellers from Sweden, to enter the country if they are fully vaccinated and/or have had a documented COVID-19 infection within the last six months. Viking Line announces that it is opening the service between Stockholm and Helsinki with the first departure from Stockholm on 7 July. It is the traveller's responsibility to be aware of current entry requirements, necessary documents and certificates for the trip.

Visit Sweden invites you to the world's largest outdoor bar
Sweden's marketing agency Visit Sweden has opened bookings for the world's largest outdoor bar: The Drinkable Country. Both foreign and Swedish tourists can now enjoy unique Swedish drinking experiences at 16 tables in some of Sweden's most scenic locations around the country. Kristinehamn offers island tour with new ticket
22 June marks the premiere of the summer tour boats in the Kristinehamn archipelago. A new island excursion ticket is now being presented that combines journeys with Båtbuss 95 and the tour boat Stöten and makes it possible to visit several of the islands in the Lake Vänern archipelago on the same day. During the day trip, the traveller can experience Alvön or Långön and Kristinehamn's largest island Vålön, from where you can continue on to Kalvön and Sibberön via hiking trails and footbridges.
Reflection of the week
The pandemic is not over and you should still be careful, but now it always feels like things are moving in the right direction. In addition, we have had fantastic weather in Sweden, and then you do not have to travel so far for wonderful summer experiences!

It's really nice that it's starting to ease, but I sincerely hope that everyone realises that the pandemic is far from over. Here we will (probably) not have to wear masks when we go outdoors in places where there is no congestion. No decision has been made, but on Thursday it will be decided whether it will be so from Saturday. Would be nice, because the masks are really terrible in the heat that prevails now. In shops, public transport, etc. the requirement for face masks will remain. That's great!
The Drinkable Country really sounded like a great thing 😀.
Have a great start to the week!

Indeed, the pandemic is not over! You still have to be careful and keep an eye on how things are developing in the world. We will soon get a vaccine dose each (dose 1 for me and 2 for Peter).

Glad that it is now more possible to get around and with the upcoming Covidpass it feels much easier. But we don't know how it will work yet. It certainly makes it easier - countries can still have their own regulations.
I have some work trips planned, including to Finland, so this relief to the east is welcome. Got advance notice of it a while ago that it was on the way.
Fun with the Drinkable country.- "The drinkable country"
