Happy Friday! We have been travelling in Skåne all week and we have, among other things, visited my (Helena's) old hometown. Very fun! In addition, we currently have the deadline for the editorial articles for the summer magazine so it is hectic, to say the least.
Table of contents
Road trip in Skåne
During our road trip in Skåne, we have seen castles, beaches, cities and nature reserves, and also had a meeting with other bloggers. We haven't had time to write about everything we experienced yet, so more to come. So far we have published these reports:
Visiting old neighbourhoods
I (Helena) grew up in Skåne, more specifically in Lund, and this time we decided to visit my old hometown. Great fun! We will tell you more about Lund going forward.
For now, here's a picture of my old nursery school. Isn't it nice? The house is called Quennerstedtska villan and is located in the Kråkelyckan neighbourhood. I went here with hearing and deaf children, and I have very fond memories of it.
We also visited my childhood friend Johanna and her husband Sven, who relatively recently moved to a villa in the centre of Lund. So great to see them again! Thank you so much!
Breakfast meeting with the German Tourist Board
Although I (Helena) have been on holiday this week from my public health job, we have been busy. One morning we logged in to a breakfast meeting that the German Tourist Board organised for the press and tour operators. They actually sent out breakfast packages to everyone who signed up (so cosy!), but we had to decline that part because we were on a roll. Still, it was interesting and nice!
Challenges for the motorhome
It's great fun to be on a road trip, but sometimes it's tough on the motorhome. Yesterday the morning started with branches falling from a tree onto the roof. Later, we missed a warning sign for a speed limit and accidentally drove over a bump in the road at 50 kilometres per hour.
Everything was unloaded and travelling around the garage, so we have to fix that... tomorrow. Shortly afterwards we drove behind a truck that dropped a metal "wide load" sign. We ran over it, but it seemed to be fine... Happy Friday!
Deadline for the magazine
We have also been very busy this week, in preparation for the production of the summer magazine. We have a deadline for the editorial articles today, Friday. We have, as we have been asked, hired out the layout. As we write this, we are not quite ready yet, but there is so little left that it should easily be completed on Friday. Advertisements can be submitted a little later, but these are also just about ready.
When there is a lot to do, we need to simplify the practical things around us. We found cheap smoked salmon in a shop, and our new favourite lunch now is smoked salmon with potato salad. Another simplification is that we sometimes cheat with paper plates and disposable bamboo sticks at lunch.
Best this week
Best this week? It has been fantastic fun to drive around Skåne in lovely weather. That, together with the fact that we are tying up the magazine, is the best part of the week. What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
We will continue to discover Sweden. We are far from finished writing about Skåne, so in the coming week you can expect a Skåne theme here on the blog!
Did you miss the last Happy Friday? Read the Motorhome trip to Ystad, lots of work and "holidays"

Forcing a hump in the road at high speed - it doesn't have to be that fast. We've been there too. Lorries dropping things is awful. A colleague of mine had a centre nut from the front wheel of a truck come loose and go up the front window.
So you are not safe when you are driving.

Yes scary when the car in front dropped something. We didn't have a chance to get out of the way, only luckily the tyres were not damaged.

So fun that you came and visited! Nice reports from Skåne🙂 Falling branches do not sound good for the motorhome. Have fun on the rest of the trip and welcome here again!

Wow, what adventures you offer FREEDOM, or is he offering you adventures?
Visiting your childhood town is very special. Now my owners are a bit closer to their childhood towns, but they still like to walk around there and think back.
We look forward to your continued journey and hope to read your magazine in the future.
All good

Yes, a bit special, I agree! I have also spent very little time in Lund since I moved there.

It will be so much fun to read your magazine, because it will probably be sold together with the newspaper or?! It is wise that you have hired out the layout. Usually the magazine does the layout with t3 texts and pictures that you deliver.
Osis with the road humps, but "shit happens" if you say so. A heavenly luck that you do not have real porcelain dishes in the motorhome; -)

The magazine will be available for free at campsite receptions, together with the magazine Husbil and Husvagn på väg. We will also set up a digital flipbook.

Wow, it seems to be tough to be a motorhome with you 😉.
So fun to meet old childhood friends! Understand that it is fun to be in old hoods.
Our happiest week was that week. It was when we got the final decision and moved into our new house!
