Last weekend we spent on Blidö, with a lot of celebrations. Otherwise, it is houseboat life at home in Pampas marina that applies now. There is a lot of work as usual, but also lovely summer days. Happy Friday!

Blidö in the Stockholm archipelago

Peter's older brother Micke and his wife live on Blidö in the Stockholm archipelago. They have a lakefront property, and it's great to come here. We took the camper van with us, so we had our own accommodation. Then it was a few days of archipelago air and pleasant socialising.

Celebrations - new family member, birthdays and finally magazines

There was also a lot of celebration! Peter's niece Dessi, who also lives on Blidö, has recently had her first child and it was the first time we had the opportunity to meet the new family member. In addition, we celebrated our birthdays (we fill every few days) and that FREEDOMtravel magazine (the magazine we are publishing this summer) is finally ready!

As a complete surprise, Peter's eldest son Robin and his wife Alexandra, as well as Robin's mum Jeanette, showed up. So fantastic fun! Robin and Alexandra brought great whisky and brandy, which ended up in the picture. We tasted of course (oh so good!) and then left the bottles with the rest of the contents until next year's planned meeting on Blidö. Then there will be a new round of tasting!

Houseboat life

Now we are back in the houseboat and living the houseboat life. The windows and doors are open almost 24 hours a day, and outside everything from small boats to neighbours swimming by. We try to watch TV series in the evenings (cosy after two months of no TV) - but it's almost too bright to see the screen!

Best this week

The best thing this week has been the cosy visit to Blidö, and also the the Silja Symphony cruise. We also have a lot going on with the magazine, web shops and a new press trip. We'll tell you more soon! What has been the best part of your week?

The week ahead

During the coming week we will continue to hang out in the houseboat, while we have a lot of work and projects to take care of. On the blog there will be more about Öland, but also about squid and about our upcoming travel plans.
