We are back in the houseboat now, after a fantastic trip to Bulgaria. We have started training again (it was needed!) and are fixing up the houseboat, while sorting out photos and memories from the Bulgaria trip. Happy Friday!

DIY in the houseboat
We've finally got round to doing some work on the houseboat. To start with, we moved all the boxes of products for the boat. online shop to a storage room. How nice! At last we have some space to move around in the houseboat again. And yes, there is now room to do home workouts on the lower deck!
Peter doesn't really like the way we've organised it on the foredeck, so we've looked around a bit at the online home furnishings, and have been inspired. Maybe we'll wait until next season to make major changes, but it's certainly fun to start thinking! In the meantime, Peter has repainted the staircase between the kitchen and the upper deck, as it needed to be refreshed. Nice to take care of the boat a bit!
Time for training again ...
When it comes to training, we are periodic. We have tried to establish routines that will work in the long run and yes, we understand that it would be smart to perhaps train a little moderately but continuously. But we're bad at it ... It's usually all or nothing.
Now it has been "nothing" for a very long time, so now it's time to do "everything" for a while. We have started jogging in the mornings again and have planned to alternate it with home training. Sooo cruel training pain right now!
Storm winds
The nice summer weather has continued almost every day, but yesterday it was interrupted a few times by strong storm winds. It's funny how it can be peaceful and hot one second, and the next second it turns into lashing rain and winds that carry away anything that happens to be loose.
Best this week
The best thing this week has of course been ... drumroll ... the trip to Bulgaria! In addition to the fact that it felt great to get away on a trip abroad again, Bulgaria turned out to offer all kinds of exciting things. We haven't had time to tell you about everything yet, but we have managed to write a few posts:
The week ahead
We experienced a lot in Bulgaria and have only been able to tell you about a fraction of it. So you can expect even more Bulgaria inspiration on the blog in the coming week. We are also planning some small excursions in the neighbourhood.
Now we would like to hear how your week was? What can you highlight as positive? And what are your plans for the weekend?

Gosh what torrential rain you got there! Here in Torrevieja there was also a big - but short - shower this week, but then we were not at home but out on the road in sunny areas 🙂 .
I am also periodic when it comes to training. The last period I had... I don't really remember, but it wasn't during this millennium anyway 😉 .
The best part of the week for me - just like for you - was getting away on a trip. But I did not come abroad but had to settle for a domestic trip. It was very nice as well 🙂 .
Have a happy Friday!

Yes, I think I have never seen the weather change so abruptly several times, between radiant sun and storm! And haha, yes the periods can be different lengths ....! Lovely with a trip, albeit domestically!

I am very much looking forward to our trip to Bulgaria in August.
It's funny because when people started writing about Sunne Beach on your blog, they thought, well, that's Bulgaria too! For me Bulgaria is orthodox monasteries, mountains and a rich culture. And I hope to see that on this trip.

You will certainly have a great trip! I'm a bit jealous of some of the destinations you get to experience, like Plovdiv for example! 😉 Bulgaria is many different things! Orthodox monasteries and culture we also saw a lot of, and maybe you will see even more.

Thank you very much! I have a feeling that you usually "sharpen up" a bit more than we do 😉 But yes, you may need to think a bit sometimes 😉 .

Funny with rain with you but here in town, with us in the South, it had not come anything, The best of the week for us was probably yesterday's cool trip out to Söderarm and Torskär. Finally the trip was completed and the outer archipelago in brilliant sunshine.
When it comes to exercise, it's basically every day for me. I can't jog but I train strength both at home, at rehab and at the outdoor gyms that are nearby and walk an average of 6-7 km / day.
Nice to read about Bulgaria and that you were satisfied but nothing that attracts me again even though a lot has changed.

Funny how the weather can be so different! The rain showers were very intense, along with very strong winds, but also very short! Good job with the training!!!

How good you are who have started training! Here, our training consists of golf (this summer we have given it a real chance) and it is not bad in itself, lots of steps are made during 3-4 hours, but the breath would have to be better. What strange weather we have, one moment pouring rain and the next moment sun again. Maybe we have to get used to extreme weather......

We had about the same weather here, but it was still warm on the balcony. Today, however, it was NOT hot anymore, only 18 degrees and a heavy shower. I can say it felt like it.
I think we'll have to get used to extreme weather in the face of climate change...
Good luck with 'all or nothing'!
