This Friday we have three stories from Northern Bohemia (Bohemia) in the Czech Republic, where we are at the moment. The stories are about glass, nature and beer. Happy Friday!

Some insights from Northern Bohemia
We've spent a few days in Northern Bohemia in the Czech Republic, and in case you're not sure where the area is, we've included a map showing the largest city we visited: Liberec. The first part of the trip was a press trip/study tour focusing on glassworks and glass art in the region. Today we present some quick reflections!
1. You can make anything out of glass
Our journey is primarily through the area in northern Bohemia known as the 'Crystal Valley'. Here they make glass, glass and more glass. The most fascinating thing is that everyone seems to find their own angle and niche. And many think outside the box!
How about a garden full of creative glass art, Christmas decorations made of glass according to an old tradition (on the UNESCO heritage list!), glass made according to archaeological findings or maybe a house with glass walls? Welcome to the Crystal Valley in the Czech Republic!
2. Nature is as imaginative as glass artists
It is not only the glassblowers/glass artists in the Czech Republic who are creative. God was also in his most creative mood when he created the Czech Republic. We recently showed photos from spectacular Hrubá Skála. We've seen other cool places, but we're not going to get ahead of ourselves, so you'll have to wait a bit.
By the way, the top picture is from Jested Mountain, where the view can apparently be amazing, but it was a bit foggy when we were there... Happy Friday!
3. There is always a new brewery at hand
What must also be mentioned is of course the breweries and the beer. There are small or medium-sized breweries just everywhere. If you are in the mood for a good Czech beer, or perhaps a beer tasting tray, you never have to wait long.
Best this week
The best this week is of course this journey to Crystal Valley in Northern Bohemia in the Czech Republic. What was your favourite part of the trip? It's probably a combination of dramatic scenery, some special glass artists that moved me and, of course, all the good beer along the way. Now we want to hear about your week! What can you highlight as positive?
The week ahead
We're still in the Czech Republic, and after Crystal Valley we'll be spending a few days in Prague. We have lots of great experiences to share - and places to recommend - so don't miss out!

So wonderful with a new Happy Friday from the Czech Republic! Surely it feels great to be able to travel again even if there are still restrictions! For us, of course, the best of the week is to land in Mallorca, a destination with a really cool nature that we can probably imagine returning to (when we have visited everything else on the to-do list) ....

Yes, it's great to be travelling again! There are limitations, but if you compare, it is still much freer now! Lovely with Mallorca!!!

These glass sculptures are right up my street, especially the octopus. The birds are nice too. I have never seen such large glass sculptures, only tiny ones that are an "export item" in Venice.
The rock formations in the Czech Republic are really dramatic, absolutely wonderful!
Oh beer, well the Czech Republic is famous for its beer so...

We also liked these glass sculptures very much. I will show more from that particular place, which was the ice cream parlour we liked the most 🙂 .

Fun to see and experience something you otherwise would not have done. Exciting with the large glass sculptures, but not to my taste. However, it is both the nature here and the beer.
Wishing you continued good days.

The taste is different and it's lucky! 🙂 When it comes to glass, there is probably something for all tastes in Crystal Valley, I think, have never seen so much glass at once in my whole life 😉.
