Here is a greeting from lovely Tunisia! We have spent a few days in this exciting country, where we have experienced Tunis's bustling market streets, Unesco World Heritage, Tunisian wine and a wonderful climate. Happy Friday!

A one-week 'stopover' at home
There was only a one week "stopover" at home in Sweden, between the trip to Turkey and the trip to Tunisia. A little short, it seems, but now we have the steam up. So fun to experience some more exotic destinations again!
During the week at home in the houseboat, we managed to start up a new concept with guest writers on our site. There was also a visit to the hairdresser, and Peter took the opportunity to do highlights. So nice in that little hat haha, don't you think ...?
On the ground in Tunisia
We are now in Tunisia, which we are visiting during a press trip organised by the Tunisian Tourist Board. Here we have experienced, among other things, the capital Tunis with its bustling market streets in the Medina, the old town. It is interesting to look around among gadgets and crafts, but perhaps just as exciting to just soak up the people and the atmosphere!
We also visited a site with well-preserved remains of ancient Carthage. Fascinating! Today the site is one of Tunisia's World Heritage Sites on UNESCO's prestigious World Heritage List.
In addition, we have visited Sidi Bou Said, a fantastically charming and beautiful blue-white little town on the Mediterranean, filled with cafes, art galleries, boutique hotels and - not least - fantastically beautiful painted doors. We took a bunch of photos, so there will be pictures in the future!
Best this week
The best part of this week is that we got the chance to travel to and discover Tunisia. Travelling around and experiencing new places is the absolute best thing we know. It is certainly a high tempo on press trips (no sleeping in here!), but we are happy to take it. Happy Friday!
What has your week been like? Are you at home or travelling? What can you highlight from the week as positive (big or small)?
The week ahead
We continue our tour of Tunisia. Eventually we will tell you about everything, but if you are curious already, you can follow us on Instagram - you can find us at @freedomtravelnews - where we continuously upload photos and stories (events).

I had imagined Tunis to be completely different - more modern. But I'm glad that the old houses have been preserved and have not given way to skyscrapers.
It's quite normal for guys to colour their hair, but the fact that they also want highlights - that was completely new to me.

There are of course several sides of Tunis and we will show more pictures later. But a relatively nice city to walk around in, both older and newer houses.

Peter might be setting a new trend there with that hat 🙂.
The best part of this week is that Germany is offering lovely autumn weather for our last few days before heading home!
