New virus variant affects travelling

Tallink Silja introduces Covid certificate requirements for travellers

As of 1 December, all passengers over the age of 18 travelling with Tallink Silja from Stockholm are required to have a covid certificate. This is to help stop the spread of covid-19, which is now increasing again in many countries. Passengers travelling on any of Tallink Silja's ships need to present one of the following covid certificates before boarding:

• Vaccination certificate for 2 doses of vaccine
• Certificate of negative COVID-19 test
• Certification that the traveller has recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months.

United Airlines returns to Arlanda with direct flights to New York

United Airlines is the only American airline to return to Stockholm Arlanda Airport for the 2022 summer season with a direct route to Newark, New York. From its hub, the airline offers 58 direct connections to destinations across America. The route will be operated daily starting 14 May 2022, with a Boeing 757-200.

BRA launches new flight route from Bromma to Helsinki

BRA is launching a route between Stockholm-Bromma and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, which will be its second international route after the pandemic. The new route between Stockholm and Helsinki, with good transfer possibilities to and from BRA's other domestic routes, will open on 24 February 2022. The route will have a round trip every day of the week except Saturdays.

Vasaloppet wins Stora Turismpriset 2021.

This year, people in Skåne can travel to Christmas celebrations, midday sales or sledding hills using the Christmas ticket, which is valid for 24 days. The ticket gives free travel throughout Skåne between 17 December and 9 January for SEK 399.
