What a week! Since we had visitors from abroad (well, Norway) last week, there was a lot of sightseeing in Stockholm. In addition, there were several visits to restaurants and some very good dinners. Happy Friday!

Sightseeing in Stockholm
Last week we had a visit from Hannah, from @hannahlates on Instagram, who we got to know in Bulgaria. Very funny! But where do you take foreign guests? There were walks in the centre of Stockholm, in the Old Town and on Djurgården. There was also a visit to Hallwylska Palace and Vasa Museum. Fun to look around the city!
The glowing moose at Berzelii Park are amazingly beautiful.
The skating rink in Kungsträdgården is also charming, almost like something out of a romantic film.
We also passed through the Brunkeberg tunnel one day, and this was brightly lit in red. The lighting itself was probably part of the light festival during this year's Nobel Week, we think.
Lots of good food
There has also been a lot of good food lately! Normally we don't go to restaurants very often, but it's different when you have visitors and want to show off the city. At the end of last week, we visited the Asian Post Office where we ordered a bunch of small, but delicious, small dishes to share.
Another day, we went to an old favourite restaurant in Sundbyberg, where we used to live. At Libaneza in Sumpan you can order lots of really good cold and hot meze, at favourable prices. We really love Lebanese food, and this restaurant is really good!
On the last evening when Hannah was visiting us, we were invited to the home of Christian, from Food and travel blog, who was also on the trip in Bulgaria. We all took food with us and cooked five dishes together. Very funny and nice!
Christian also offered an exciting cold mulled wine. Very good!
What about the dishes? Well, there was Toast Skagen, scallops in pea puree, sous vide cooked cod with parsnip puree and lamb fillet with mashed potatoes and game sauce. So good!
Finally, Hannah had brought a lot of goodies from NK in Stockholm, where she looked around herself during the day.
A very nice evening in the company of happy friends!
Even after Peter and I were alone, we had lunch in town. Before a meeting, we gathered at Scandic Haymarket and ate a really good dish of the day!
Christmas shopping in our online shop
Another thing we have to mention is the Christmas shopping spree in our online shop. Every day we pack parcels and walk up to the Post Nord business centre. The only advertising we do for the products is what we do here on the site, and possibly on the website. our Instagrambut we don't pay for advertising right now.
We would love to do that, but it feels impossible given that the store already costs a lot in terms of warehousing, packaging, shipping, agreements with those who provide payment solutions and loans for the products we bought. That's why it's great that there's a lot of shopping in our store this Christmas! Want to know which items are the most popular? Here are the top 5 for December 2021:
- Glass mats for motorhomes
- Motif paste camper vans
- Glass mats for caravans
- Coaster Motorhome Classic
- Disc cloth Motorhome Classic
Best this week
Best this week? Well, I don't know! Although we are at home, it feels like everything is spinning a little fast right now. We are happy about the winter weather and all the nice social interaction during the week! What has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
We are busy with work and meetings, and are also planning a different kind of Christmas dinner for the weekend. We will get back to you on that! Here at freedomtravel.se, we will probably pick up and write about travel destinations in Sweden that we have visited in the past year, but have not had time to write about yet. Don't miss it!

You did about the same "city walk" as Ditte. So you are absolutely right, it's light week in connection with the Nobel week that is going on right now. Incredibly delicious light decorations.
Oh what gluttony in food - yummie, yummie. Christan does justice to his blog name. No doubt about it;-)

Nobel Week is a fun thing! Last year we went around and looked properly, this year we have only happened to see some parts 😉 And yes, of course, Matochresebloggen is worthy of its name! 🙂
