Many companies tend to organise annual trips for their employees, often in the form of a kick-off, to reward successful work. But it is also common to organise conferences or a trip for training purposes in a specific field. In this article, we highlight popular European travel destinations for entrepreneurs.

Hopefully we'll see the restrictions eased in the spring and it may be time to start booking in. work or conference trips abroad again. Here are three destination tips for entrepreneurs thinking of taking their employees, or management, on a trip abroad.

Spain - one of the favourites for business travel

Among all the popular business trips for Swedes, Spain is one of the hottest countries. There are several attractive destinations, but the two that stand out are Barcelona and, of course, the capital Madrid.

The city in Catalonia is known as a culinary centre, with plenty of fresh seafood markets. Likewise, it is a place for sun and bathing, but also football as one of the world's top club teams is based there in FC Barcelona.

When it comes to Madrid, there is also a dedicated interest in football and culture. You can visit the famous Prado Museum where you can see the works of some of the world's greatest artists. Another attraction, of course, is to relax in the the huge Retiro Park which has plenty of great walking routes.

Germany's capital Berlin is a great place for conferences

Two other European countries that many companies are travelling to are Germany and Hungary. When it comes to the former, there's no getting away from the fact that Berlin attracts the most interest from travellers. Indeed, the German capital, with its strong culture, is like an endless well of opportunities.

In addition to its quirky character, which draws people from all over the world, there are several exciting places to visit - from the Berlin Wall Memorial to the majestic Brandenburg Gate. Berlin is also a mecca for vegans and music lovers.

Budapest - a popular destination in the East for entrepreneurs

Among popular destinations for entrepreneurs in Hungary, there is no doubt that once again the capital city attracts the most visitors. Budapest is known for its beautiful architecture and unique initiatives.

A popular attraction is a Invisible Exhibition which opened in 2007 and allows visitors to experience what it is like to walk in the shoes of a blind person. The list of exciting attractions also includes Parliament and Heroes' Square.

Bring your credit card on a business trip

Credit cards are often mentioned as an advantage to use and carry when travelling. This also applies to you as a business owner! A credit card often comes with extra insurance, such as business travel insurance, supplementary card insurance or travel insurance.

Often the trip needs to be paid for by credit card for the insurance to be valid. It is also important to check the contract for your company's credit card so that you know which policies are included and to what extent they cover employees or company representatives travelling with you.

Another advantage of pay by credit card on business trips is that all expenses are collected on the card. This makes it easier for you to keep track of your expenses, and you get all the costs on the card's invoice. However, remember to keep all receipts during the trip.
