Scandic Victoria Tower is a hotel located right next to Kistamässan in Stockholm. Although we live relatively close, we stayed here during the motorhome fair "Freedom on wheels". Here is our hotel review!
Table of contents
Scandic Victoria Hotel
Scandic Victoria Tower is a 4-star hotel with 34 floors and 299 rooms. There is also a restaurant, sky bar and conference facilities. The hotel has a perfect location for visiting the Kista Fair and a spectacular appearance to say the least.
The architectural firm Wingårdhs is behind this special building, which is entirely clad in glass. Inside, an open floor plan with designer furniture and various spaces where people can mingle and socialise. The upper floors, which include a sky bar (floor 33) and a gym and sauna (floor 22), offer views for miles.
Hotels at Kistamässan
You can of course stay at Scandic Victoria Tower for several different reasons, but among other things, it is well suited when visiting Kistamässan, which is right next door. We visited the fair "Husbil Sthlm 2022 - Freedom on wheels".
The rooms at Scandic Victoria Tower
We chose a standard room, as it was more than enough for us. The room was nice, the beds comfortable and the bathroom excellent. We thought it was a bit chilly when we went to sleep, but we never took the time to ask for help with the thermostat (a lot to think about at the fair!), so we can't say if it could have been fixed.
The view from the 14th floor was good and I (Helena), who is afraid of heights, was glad that the glass windows did not go all the way down to the floor ...
Breakfast at Scandic Victoria Tower
Breakfast was served in the restaurant on the lobby level and was excellent. We found everything from scrambled eggs and bacon to pasties, good cheeses, fresh fruit, croissants and yoghurt with granola.
Dinners at Scandic Victoria Tower
The first night, I (Helena) had a headache, so I chose to buy a sandwich at the reception (convenient that you could do that!) and eat it in bed, while Peter and his brother Micke had a pizza in the Skybar. The other two nights we ate in the restaurant. The first night it was a hamburger, which was excellent.
The next evening we chose "today's", which was a piece of meat with french fries. This also tasted good. We must also say that the serving staff was fast and friendly.
Skybar
What about the sky bar? Well, even I (Helena) was up here because we had a relaxed meeting with some partners here. But there was so much to think about at the time, so I forgot to take pictures. The picture below is one of the hotel's press photos. Of course, great views from here!
More to see and do in the neighbourhood
Right next to the Scandic Victoria Tower is the Kista Fair, where many different fairs are held. Kista Galleria is also within walking distance. In addition, the huge Mall of Scandinavia is just five minutes away by commuter train.
There is plenty to see and do in the neighbouring municipalities of Solna and Sundbyberg. If you want to discover Stockholm, it's only a 15-minute journey by commuter train or car.

I have been up in the tower but never stayed or eaten there. When we are in Kista, we usually stay with big brother and family, it is cheaper (kind of free) and the food served is superbly good too. A very good alternative 😀

Smart to stay close to the fair. Have never stayed at the hotel but have been here for a few conferences. The surrounding environment is not so attractive but for you it was a very good choice.

It is probably true that the environment around is not so exciting, we barely had time to think about that, haha. We only went to and from the fair, and then it was perfect 😉.

Sure, it was a good hotel to stay at for a trade fair visit and for you it must have been perfect even if the surroundings were nothing to brag about.

Yes, absolutely perfect for visiting the fair! But of course, the environment in general is not that exciting.

There are many times we've been to the fair and then thought about having a drink in the Skybar at the cool hotel. Every time we tried, we were too early and the Skybar hadn't opened yet.
Love the "tower", especially the lovely reflections you see when standing on the ground from across the street.
