Senior Fair in Malmö 26-28 April 2022

Right now, the Senior Fair is taking place in Malmö 26-28 April 2022. This fair is aimed at active seniors and there is always a big focus on travel. We happened to be in Malmö and of course did not want to miss the fair. Here you can read more and see pictures!

Senior Fair in Malmö 26-28 April 2022

The Senior Fair is usually organised every year in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö. At the fair you will find exhibitors in the areas of travel & tourism, accommodation & services, health & care, health & beauty and leisure & culture. This year, 2022, the fair in Gothenburg has already been held, while the fair in Malmö is ongoing and the fair in Stockholm will be held in the autumn. The following dates and locations apply:

• 5-7 April 2022 - Seniormässan in Gothenburg, at the Swedish Exhibition Centre.
• 26-28 April 2022 - Seniormässan in Malmö, at Malmömässan.
• 4-6 October 2022 - Seniormässan in Stockholm, at the Stockholm Fair.

We were lucky enough to arrive in Malmö just as the fair was opening, so we took the opportunity to visit. The fair offered lots of exhibitors, a rich lecture programme and all kinds of activities.

Travel inspiration at the Senior Fair in Malmö

The Senior Fair always offers a large dose of travel inspiration. This time we had a nice conversation with the representative of Destination Gotland. We have been far too little on Gotland, so it is one of the destinations we hope to visit next year.

We also talked to Sandra Strandberg from the shipping company Finnlines. We will be travelling with them today! One of their routes runs between Malmö and Travemünde, and that is the line we will take. We will return about this!

We also talked to the nice girls at Stena Line. Their shipping company has many good lines and we have cooperated with them before, for example when we did the "The beach basket trip" through Germany.

Unity Line was also on hand to offer trips to one of our favourite countries in Europe, namely the wonderful Poland.

We also met with a representative of Cypruswho we recently met at a Cyprus event in Stockholm. That time we were very inspired to visit this beautiful and historically interesting destination, so we hope to make a trip here in the not too distant future.

We also stopped by Israel's stand. Israel we found it very exciting, and we will never forget our interesting visit to the Centre. Jerusalem.

Other interesting and fun things at the fair

Of course, it's not only about travelling to the Senior Fair in Malmö, but also about a lot of other things. For example, we dropped by the company "Bilanpassning i Staffanstorp AB", with curious questions about adapting motorhomes for accessibility. We were told that it is challenging, due to weak chassis, narrow doors and tight spaces, but that it has become a little easier over time. Many chassis are of better quality today, compared to the past.

We also stopped to talk to the Swedish Judo Association, who told us that they want to prevent falls. There are 270,000 falls every year, and 1500 people die. Swedish Judo wants to change that! With them you can take courses in Judo4Balance to prevent and reduce the risk of falling.

At the fair, we also saw hairdressers in full activity ...

... and sellers of cheese, sausages and olives.
