Car test inspection statistics 2021: Three out of ten caravans have defects

Despite short driving distances, Bilprovning's inspection statistics for 2021 show that three out of ten caravans had deficiencies and that every fifth defect required re-inspection. The most common complaint was against the braking system, partly because caravans are stationary for long periods. Here are Bilprovning's tips for preventing faults on your caravan:

  • Uneven brakes: If the caravan has a tendency to 'twist' the car when braking, you may need to check the brakes.
  • Broken or faulty lamps: Enlist the help of your passengers to ensure that your caravan's lights work and are the right colour.
  • Older tyres: It is common for tyres to 'dry out' due to age before you see the tread depth start to deteriorate.

Sweden's seven wonders have been named ... again

Sweden's seven wonders have been named before, but now it's time again. In a new survey conducted by Kantar Sifo on behalf of Göta Canal, Swedes have once again voted for Sweden's most important buildings. The list is topped by the ring wall in Visby, with almost a third (31%) of respondents saying that the 900-year-old wall is Sweden's most important building. In second place is the Göta Canal, a favourite of one in four (25%) Swedes.

  1. The ring wall in Visby
  2. Göta Canal
  3. The ice hotel in Jukkasjärvi
  4. The Royal Palace in Stockholm
  5. Regal ship Vasa
  6. Uppsala Cathedral
  7. Öresund Bridge

Reflection of the week

Now that Sweden's seven wonders have been recognised again, it is of course a little confusing. There are now 'the old seven' and 'the new seven'. The list is relatively similar, but Turning Torso and Globen have disappeared from this new list in favour of Uppsala Cathedral and the Royal Palace. Which list do you like best? Or what do you think the list should look like?
