It's Monday again and travel news here at FREEDOMtravel. Hopefully these will be published at 06:00 in the morning as usual, but if they are slightly late, it is because the time setting is complicated. However, we have hired help to fix the problem, so hopefully things will be back to normal soon. Time for news!

Chaos at Arlanda airport
Many newspapers and individuals are reporting chaos at Terminal 5 at Arlanda, and pictures show long queues. People have missed their flights even though they were at the airport in good time. In a press release (12 June, 08:02), Swedavia urges passengers to arrive at the airport as ready as possible and to arrive only when check-in opens, which is often 2-3 hours before departure.
Visit Småland launches app to attract holidaymakers to Småland.
Visit Småland is launching the 'Småland Treasures' app to help Swedish tourists discover Småland's attractions - while the user collects points by completing 'missions' and collecting badges. The app uses typical Småland icons, such as avatars of the polka pig, the cheesecake and the fairytale princess. There are a total of 100 missions to complete in the app, which will be launched on 14 June 2022.
Reflection of the week

Yes the motorhome is good. No times to fit and all the amenities. I also don't understand why they get such chaos...
Many nice reports and pictures from your trip. Great!!!

The flight chaos is not specific to Arlanda. Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport had to be completely shut down last week, as the safety of travellers could not be guaranteed. But that's what happens - the ketchup effect after more than two years. It was almost a given, but no one expected it. The US has released all restrictions since yesterday, so it doesn't look any better there either...

You're right, of course! It does not seem to be as bad everywhere, but Schiphol definitely sounds bad! Maybe it has been difficult to plan for, but at the same time it should not have been completely unexpected? Well, hope it gets better soon!
