Problems are there to be solved, right? We encounter plenty of hassles and challenges during our travels, but we do our best to solve the problems and move on. Happy Friday!

One less bike, but ...

My (Helena's) electric bike was stolen in Magdeburgand it turned our lives upside down. We thought about buying a new one, but the ones we found were both much more expensive and a bit more "boring" than the one that was stolen. We will order from China again and in the meantime I (Helena) will ride on the back of Peter's bike.

Optimal? No, absolutely not! It's uncomfortable, Peter can't pedal backwards and the bike can't handle both on steep uphill and downhill slopes. MenHowever, we are still happy that we can both ride the bike when needed. Happy Friday!

More hassle ... and jobs

It is marvellous to travel. But we also have lots of everyday worries. And we work! We start at 6am every morning and finish at 10pm. We don't have a TV.

Right now we are working hard to meet the deadline for our physical magazine, which will be distributed free of charge at 600 campsites around Sweden. Fun? Yes, absolutely! A lot of work? Yes, we promise!

Trouble is also involved. As well as a bike being stolen, money has been stolen from one of our bank cards, which is now blocked. We now have one less card and have no idea if we will get the stolen money back. There is always something that goes wrong... All we want is to be able to continue travelling!

Lovely Croatia!

We are travelling in Germany, but made a detour to Croatia as we were nominated for the Golden Pen Media Awards 2022. Great fun! We left the campervan at the airport in Leipzig and it went great. This airport turned out to be really quiet and our campervan was "passed" by a bunch of hares running lap after lap in the car park.

Coming to Croatia then? Fantastic! We had almost forgotten how wonderful it is to hang out in this part of Europe. The climate is wonderful, the cities charming and the water crystal clear.

We visited the beautiful island of Brač and wrote a report on this interesting place. Sinj, in the Croatian hinterland.

Lots of gems in Germany - we can't quite keep up with them

Recently, we have visited a whole bunch of fantastic gems in Germany, and we don't really have time to tell you about all the places we visit. We want you as a reader to "follow" our journey in real time, so we may save some reports for the autumn. For example, we've visited the fantastic Unesco city of Goslar, but I think we'll save that story for later.

We have also visited the historic castle in Regenstein, and I don't know yet if we will be able to tell you about this in the next few days, or if we will save it for the autumn. In any case, we probably have time to tell you about most things already on Instagram, at @freedomtravelnews.

Best this week

Best this week? Oh yes, the days and weeks go together. The best thing is that we are travelling! It was great to visit Croatia, but Germany is also great for travelling. marvellous cities. The picture below is from our visit to the nice pitch and campsite in Hann. Münden.

What has been the best part of your week? Note! Large and small!

The week ahead

We will continue our motorhome journey in Germany. You can expect lots of reading about charming and cosy destinations in Germany. Which places will we write about then? Amongst others Wernigerode, Hann. Münden, Miltenberg and Baden-Baden!
