Problems are there to be solved, right? We encounter plenty of hassles and challenges during our travels, but we do our best to solve the problems and move on. Happy Friday!

One less bike, but ...
My (Helena's) electric bike was stolen in Magdeburgand it turned our lives upside down. We thought about buying a new one, but the ones we found were both much more expensive and a bit more "boring" than the one that was stolen. We will order from China again and in the meantime I (Helena) will ride on the back of Peter's bike.
Optimal? No, absolutely not! It's uncomfortable, Peter can't pedal backwards and the bike can't handle both on steep uphill and downhill slopes. MenHowever, we are still happy that we can both ride the bike when needed. Happy Friday!
More hassle ... and jobs
It is marvellous to travel. But we also have lots of everyday worries. And we work! We start at 6am every morning and finish at 10pm. We don't have a TV.
Right now we are working hard to meet the deadline for our physical magazine, which will be distributed free of charge at 600 campsites around Sweden. Fun? Yes, absolutely! A lot of work? Yes, we promise!
Trouble is also involved. As well as a bike being stolen, money has been stolen from one of our bank cards, which is now blocked. We now have one less card and have no idea if we will get the stolen money back. There is always something that goes wrong... All we want is to be able to continue travelling!
Lovely Croatia!
We are travelling in Germany, but made a detour to Croatia as we were nominated for the Golden Pen Media Awards 2022. Great fun! We left the campervan at the airport in Leipzig and it went great. This airport turned out to be really quiet and our campervan was "passed" by a bunch of hares running lap after lap in the car park.
Coming to Croatia then? Fantastic! We had almost forgotten how wonderful it is to hang out in this part of Europe. The climate is wonderful, the cities charming and the water crystal clear.
We visited the beautiful island of Brač and wrote a report on this interesting place. Sinj, in the Croatian hinterland.
Lots of gems in Germany - we can't quite keep up with them
Recently, we have visited a whole bunch of fantastic gems in Germany, and we don't really have time to tell you about all the places we visit. We want you as a reader to "follow" our journey in real time, so we may save some reports for the autumn. For example, we've visited the fantastic Unesco city of Goslar, but I think we'll save that story for later.
We have also visited the historic castle in Regenstein, and I don't know yet if we will be able to tell you about this in the next few days, or if we will save it for the autumn. In any case, we probably have time to tell you about most things already on Instagram, at @freedomtravelnews.
Best this week
Best this week? Oh yes, the days and weeks go together. The best thing is that we are travelling! It was great to visit Croatia, but Germany is also great for travelling. marvellous cities. The picture below is from our visit to the nice pitch and campsite in Hann. Münden.
What has been the best part of your week? Note! Large and small!
The week ahead
We will continue our motorhome journey in Germany. You can expect lots of reading about charming and cosy destinations in Germany. Which places will we write about then? Amongst others Wernigerode, Hann. Münden, Miltenberg and Baden-Baden!

It sounds like you will have no shortage of topics for the blog for a long time to come after this trip....
Here at home, the days are intertwined even though we are mostly at home interspersed with some excursions...
The best part of the week is a couple of motorhome days on the other side of Lake Vättern.

Yes, we probably collect some that can become posts even later! Lovely with motorhome trips! Wish you a nice weekend!

Something always happens, and often it's something negative, unfortunately...
Would it be more comfortable to sit on the back if you put a lot of cushions in the box, or remove the box and add some boards? Or maybe buy a "non-modern" bike second-hand.
Losing money and having only a debit card left has happened to us in Benidorm. We got back everything that was stolen. The problem with only having one card left is that it would be disastrous if you lost it too, or even if someone stole it. In addition, it is important to have coverage... We were afraid of that for five weeks... Fortunately, we made it through

Thanks for all the tips! Hopefully we don't have to drive like this too much/long. It is not exactly that we go on bike rides just because it is fun to cycle, but there will be some "back and forth" stretches. Sad that you have also experienced losing money on cards, but nice that you got it back! We have received a form to fill in!

You don't have time for my old city of youth, the beautiful university town of Göttingen? It and Kassel are cities you often drive past, but they also have their own stories, of course.
It's hard for you to deal with theft and blocked cards, but unfortunately this is part of modern travelling. Maybe a post on how to best protect yourself against this. By the way, you should be happy that you drive and decide for yourself. Passport and check-in problems in both Sweden and Europe have definitely discouraged us from travelling outside the country at all now. Maybe a trip to beautiful Öregrund again!
And when it comes to Roslagen, I want to highlight the most church-dense area I know with incredibly beautiful churches in unbeatable locations. Post the link visit.roslagen and everything is there. And Norrtälje turns 400 this year and is packed with activities all summer so it's time for a return visit!
Take care, drive carefully!

Thanks for the tips! Kassel is on our list and we are actually thinking of including it on the "return trip". We have not thought about Göttingen, but we will check it out! 👍
Good tip also to write about how to protect yourself from theft! Important! There might be a post about this later on!
And yes, Norrtälje is 400 years old, congratulations to a great city! 🥳

Hello there!
How sad that your bike was stolen Helena, but you are fantastically solution-focused as always. We have some friends who are interested in the type of bikes you have bought, can you tell us where you ordered them?
All the best and thanks for all the inspiring posts!

Hi Catta! Yes soooo sad about the bike! I miss it. We bought our bikes via Alibaba.com (from China). It worked great, although of course the delivery times are quite long.

As the husband always says: "Problems are meant to be solved. Miracles just take a little longer!"
It looks like you're having a good time, despite the early mornings and late nights! Get up at 06???? Hu... It's fun to follow you on Instagram where there is a little more about sights etc.
Our best thing this week? The motorhome is cleaned and fixed to be driven to a motorhome company for sale! The lily of the valley is blooming. I saw a stoat. The patio is summer-fixed and the first rhubarb pie is made from my own rhubarb. The visit to the dentist went well. We laugh every day with each other. The blackbird sings for us every evening. It smells like lilacs outside the window. The heat is just perfect right now.
And there came the husband with a cup of tea. Can't get much better!
Enjoy!
