Kemp Stříbrný rybník in Hradec Králové
Stříbrný rybník is situated in a scenic location by a lake, surrounded by large forests where you can hike or cycle. It is also relatively close to the beautiful town of Hradec Kralové. We came here with our motorhome, and also had the opportunity to have a chat with the people who run the campsite.

Stříbrný rybník is located about 6 kilometres outside the town of Hradec Kralové, about 11 miles east of the capital Prague.
Major renovation of Czech campsite Stříbrný rybník.
Kemp Stříbrný rybník has served as a campsite for 60 years, but when the city took it over three years ago, it was in dire need of refurbishment. It has now spent €2 million to refurbish the entire site, including all the service buildings.
The vision is a super-modern campsite with international guests and a strong focus on nature. We liked the choice of natural materials, such as wood, for the new buildings and the use of ecological solutions, such as solar panels.

Camping with a motorhome on Stříbrný rybník
We arrived at the campsite with our motorhome and had to park on a large grass field. There are no specific "places", you simply find a spot to stand on. Right now there was plenty of space, as it was a weekday, but we were told that it can get full on weekends and during high season.

Glamping and cabins
The campsite has a number of glamping tents, which are popular with large groups and youth groups.

There are also plenty of cabins in different sizes, and we got to check out one of them. This looked nice!

However, we found the most charming in the slightly smaller cottages along the lake. Very cosy!

Restaurant at Stříbrný rybník
There is also a restaurant by the lake, which serves both breakfast and meals. We had lunch here, cheese covered chicken and fries with a big strong. Good and nice!

Activities at Stříbrný rybník
There is plenty to do at Stříbrný rybník campsite, especially for nature lovers and families with children. At the small lake you can swim, fish and go out on all kinds of boats and boards. When we were here, a whole group of young people came to go out on the water.

There is also an "Adventure Park", where you can ride around on pedal quad bikes.

There is also a 'Gladiator Arena', which looked particularly challenging.

There is also a playground and an outdoor gym.

For ourselves, we rented mountain bikes. We used these both to cycle to the festival that was going on in the city when we were here, "Rock for People", and to test any of the trails in the forests. There are 300 kilometres of cycle paths and 16 kilometres of inline skating!

See the city of Hradec Králové
When camping at Stříbrný rybník, you don't want to miss out on seeing the beautiful... the city of Hradec Králové. There are many fine houses, churches and towers, and two rivers run through the city: the Elbe and the Tichá Orlice. From the campsite you can reach the city by car, bus or bike.

What a nice "camping site" whose name Kemp Stříbrný rybník in Hradec Králové is unpronounceable. Liked the small cottages with a patio. They looked like old railway carriages.
