Through eastern Germany by motorhome

We're making our way through Germany with our motorhome. Since we've run out of LPG (and are cooking on an electric hob), it's been super important for us to find places with electricity every night. It's been surprisingly easy! Sometimes we've even stood alone in places, and other times it's been half full. Only once have we had to drive around and "hunt" for a free site.

An overdose of castles and gardens

In Germany, we've been scouting out great cities and exciting sights along the way, and it's fair to say we've had an 'overdose' of beautiful castles and amazing gardens. It is completely unbelievable how many beautiful and impressive places there are to see!

How many guided tours in German have we taken? Many! As a non-German speaker, you usually get a small written booklet in English, and it's definitely better than nothing, but we have a lot of suggestions on how these booklets could be more educational... Well, we've seen some amazing places! and little We've also become better at understanding German.

Some oddly exciting sights

But, have we only looked at castles and gardens? No, not at all! We have found a whole lot different and interesting sights too. For example, can you guess what the picture below represents? No, we won't reveal yet... But it will come in a week or so, on a blog near you.

New products in the online shop

Of course, we also work in many different ways while travelling. We do different types of collaborations, write articles for other clients, and take care of the online shop. This week, four new products have been added to the shop: 100, 250, 500 or 1000 GB SIM cards, which can be used anywhere in the EU/EEA and are valid for 12 months.

These SIM cards are mainly for people who are staying abroad for a longer period of time. Roaming from your regular operator is limited and if you're staying abroad for a long time, there's a good chance it won't be enough. We used one of these SIM cards during our trip and it was definitely our saviour. Here you can find all four swimming cards.

Best this week

The best thing this week is that we still get to be on the road, discovering and writing about amazing places in Europe. We really love that!

What has been the best part of your week?

The week ahead

We'll be spending some more time in Germany, but slowly rolling towards Sweden. But don't be surprised if it will be all about Germany on freedomtravel.se for a while. Nature, castles, palaces, gardens, cities, architecture and unusual sights are what you can expect to read about!
