Spa in the Czech Republic! After several months on the road in a cramped motorhome, it was really nice and luxurious to be able to enjoy an afternoon at the spa. Absolutely fantastic actually! In addition, we had a wonderful dinner at Dvůr Perlová Voda.

Dvůr Perlová Voda - spa in the Czech Republic
Dvůr Perlová Voda is a hotel with a restaurant and spa, located in a scenic countryside setting. The Czech tourist office, with which we cooperate, booked the spa for us here as part of a few days' press programme, which made us find this gem. We then spent the night in the hotel car park with the motorhome, after coordination with the hotel.

Dvůr Perlová Voda is located in the north of the Czech Republic, about 20 miles north-west of the capital. Prague.
Wellness at Dvůr Perlová Voda
The hotel Dvůr Perlová Voda offers wellness in the form of spa and various treatments. We enjoyed two hours of a private spa here, and it was absolutely marvellous. fantastic.

We bought a bottle of bubbly from the restaurant, for an extra touch of luxury. Then we hung out in the small cosy pool, where you can choose between three different options - still water, whirlpool or massage jets.

We also bathed in the two bathtubs, which felt really cosy and luxurious.

There are also two types of sauna - a hot one and a less hot one with some kind of "back massage". A fantastic little spa! When you rent it privately, it feels extremely luxurious, and it was really a perfect stop during a long motorhome trip. Since we both had birthdays soon after, we decided that this was our birthday celebration!

Dinner
After our spa, we had dinner at the restaurant, where there is also a microbrewery. Since it was warm and nice, we chose to sit outside.

The food was absolutely delicious! Since the portions are always large in the Czech Republic, we chose to share a starter, and it was the right thing to do. Cheeses, grapes, walnuts and a good jam ... soooo good! For the main course Peter chose beef, potatoes and asparagus and Helena chose chicken with pasta. This too was absolutely perfect!

breakfast
We slept in the motorhome in the car park, and the next day we had breakfast at the hotel. A very good breakfast buffet we must say! Fresh bread, good scrambled eggs, fresh fruit and tasty yoghurt. Soooo luxurious!

Where can you stay with your campervan?
If you've had dinner (and beer or wine), you may be able to join us and sleep in the campervan in the hotel car park. Ask when booking if this is possible!
Otherwise, a suggestion is to drive to the campsite in Velemín, which we did the next day. This is so far the only really modern campsite we have seen in the Czech Republic, and it was also newly opened when we were here. The site has electricity, garbage collection, the possibility of filling fresh water and the possibility of emptying grey and black water, as well as maps of the surrounding area. You pay in a vending machine. Please note that you pay per hour and not per day.
