Happy Friday! As usual on Fridays, we tell you about our week. This week has been intense, with several events and social gatherings. And it's not over yet either!

Dinner with friends
This weekend we were invited to our friends Lennart and Beata for dinner. Very nice! We have long planned to go out to their country house on the island. Ring island in Lake Mälaren to fish and socialise. It has not happened yet, but if everything goes according to plan, we will go there together soon!
Press conference at the Finnish Embassy
Early this week we attended a press conference at the Finnish Embassy. The shipping company Finnlines presented its two new vessels, the first of which will enter service on the Kapellskär-Långnäs-Naantali route in autumn 2023. We will tell you more in Monday's travel news. For now, we can reveal that wow, this will be something completely different compared to their previous ferries!
Visit to Taracci
On the same day, we went to the Taracci store, now located at Gamla Brogatan 17 in Stockholm. If you've been following us for a while, you know that this has been Peter's favourite store for two decades. Feyo Taracci is the founder of the brand and an amazingly talented clothing designer. He is burn for design and quality.
If you're looking for stylish, well-fitting men's clothing, and maybe a little extra when it comes to design? Do not hesitate to check out Taracci if you are passing by!
The Taracci store moved to the address on Gamla Brogatan earlier this year. We missed the opening and haven't been here all year, so we stopped by with an opening gift of a bottle of whiskey. The can maybe we agreed to try some of it ...
Presentation of the Italian region of Trentino
The same evening, we were invited to an event at the Courtyard by Marriott Stockholm Kungsholmen, via the Italian region of Trentino in northern Italy. We heard an inspiring presentation about the region, which offers beautiful nature, dramatic mountains, skiing, Christmas markets, music events and much more. For those who want to travel in Trentino, they told us about the "Trentino Guest Card" and the travel planning app "Mio Trentino".
We were also invited to a buffet with Italian flavours. Very good, and of course nice to meet other travel writers in our circle of acquaintances.
Best this week
It has been a nice week, with several events and social meetings. Fun! As a writer, you work a lot alone "in your chamber" so it's nice to be social and get some input from others from time to time.

The week ahead
During the coming week there will be several shorter motorhome trips to some exciting destinations that we are curious about. Then we plan to go together with our friends, Lennart and Beata, to Ringsö. Here at freedomtravel.se you can expect reports from these trips, but also reports from both near and far destinations.

Sounds like a good and varied week.
This is also the case here, but with a lot of variety. A visit with mingle, lunch and guided tour at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm was one of the highlights. Likewise, a nice meeting with friends out on Ekerö was long-awaited and pleasant. And as that little extra, a couple of travel-related jobs that have so far been handled from home.

Lennart and Beata's house/apartment is absolutely WOW. What a great painting and lampshade:-)
Taracci - so nice that the shop has moved back to the city centre. Gamla Brogatan offers so many fun shops as well. The customer base there should be almost as good as in Sturegallerian. Wishing Feyo Taracci good luck.
PS. Drinking whiskey during working hours is not a privilege for many - hahaha:-) DS.

Don't they have nice things in their apartment? I also like both the painting and the lamp!!! 🙂 And yes, great fun that Taracci is back in town and on Gamla Brogatan. It is a street we also like, we took the opportunity to look into Sko-Uno when we were there 😉 And haha, whiskey at work (luckily perhaps) is not common, but being your own boss can have advantages sometimes 😉
