We checked out street art in Strömstad. Last summer, "Artscape Lighthouse" was organised in Strömstad and a total of eleven works of art emerged on the walls of the city. Really delicious works, we must say!

Artscape Lighhouse - eleven works of street art in Strömstad, Sweden.
Artscape Lighthouse is Sweden's largest street art project in 2022. Between 26 May and 8 June, artists from all over the world came together to decorate the city on the theme of 'man's interaction with the sea'. We cycled around and looked at the works. So delicious!
1. Dúo Amazonas
The artwork from Dúo Amazonas covers a short side of a residential building and is fantastically beautiful. We liked this one a lot!

2ND YASH
The artist Linus Lundin, also known as YASH, has created a fanatically beautiful and vibrant painting on another short side.

3rd Criola
Criola is an artist from Brazil who has decorated a wall at Strömstiernaskolan. A cool painting!

4th Thomas Turner
One of our favourites is a painting by American artist Thomas Turner. Such a cool interpretation of the theme!

5. Sophie Mess
British artist Sophie Mess has decorated a wall of a residential building, making it feel strong and alive.

6. Vegan Flava
In a residential area, two works of art are located next to each other. One of them is a work by the Swedish artist Vegan Flava.

7. Emily Ding
Right next door is a work by American artist Emily Ding. This painting has great colours and a nice sea motif.

8. Louis
There is another piece of art at Strömstjierna School, in addition to number 3. The Swedish artist Ludvig, has enlisted the help of the school's pupils to create this piece.

9. Farrah Fortnam
Farrah Fortnam, from Bristol, has painted a bright blue-green wall in the centre of the city.

10: Denis Klatt
Another cool painting, featuring a large jellyfish hovering over a fishing boat, can be found in a residential neighbourhood. The painting is by German artist Denis Klatt.

11th Llefen Carrera
Last but not least, check out the artwork by Llefen Carrera. This painting, which is slightly smaller, is close to painting number 2. You can find it by going into a courtyard and looking at the short side of a small house in the courtyard.

Where can you stay or park your motorhome?
There are of course many different places where you can stay in Strömstad. We stayed several nights with our motorhome at First Camp City - Strömstad, which had a good price during the low season. Parking spaces without electricity are available at the Bojar car park. At the moment you can also park your motorhome for free, without service, on Trädgårdsgatan.
More to see and do in the neighbourhood
As you check out the street art in the Strömstad you can of course take the opportunity to check out the city in general. You can also make an excursion to the beautiful Koster Islands. If you go a little further south, you can visit charming Grebbestad and the Unesco-protected the rock carvings in Tanum.

Here we are totally over even about which mural was the best - WOW I just say. Imagine being a street artist and being able to create such amazing works of art. It must be so much harder than painting on paper or canvas...?
