Tjurpannan nature reserve
The Tjurpannan Nature Reserve is a great place to enjoy the peace and quiet, hike in an idyllic setting, or maybe snap some nice photos.

Tjurpannan Nature Reserve is located about 7 kilometres northwest of central Grebbestad, in Bohuslän on the west coast of Sweden.
Visiting Tjurpannan Nature Reserve
We took the motorhome to Tjurpannan nature reserve, and stopped at a car park where you can start the hike. There are also signs with maps and information about the nature reserve.
Then we set off on a hike, or walk. (I'm always a bit unsure which word is the right one when strolling in nature for an hour...) There are signs that clearly mark different routes, but as confused as we were, we first followed one colour, and then changed to another...

On the way down to the harbour
On the way down to the small natural harbour, the landscape was open, but green and beautiful. We also had unbelievable luck with the weather!

Natural harbour in Tjurpannan nature reserve
After a short walk we came down to the small natural harbour in the Tjurpannan nature reserve. This place is completely unbelievable idyllic. The rocks and clouds are beautifully reflected in the water, the small boats bob peacefully and the lobster pots are lined up on the piers. It's very hard to resist taking lots of photos.

Tjurpannan Nature Reserve has no protective outer archipelago, and is therefore completely exposed to the elements. Now, when it was calm, the water was mirror-like and offered magical views.

Along the cliffs of the Tjurpannan Nature Reserve
We then continued our little hike along the cliffs of the Tjurpannan nature reserve.

At some point we stopped for a little break. Just sitting here and looking out over the sea is absolutely fantastic.

A wonderful visit to the Tjurpannan nature reserve!
In summary, we can say that we had a fantastic visit to Tjurpannan nature reserve. The wonderful weather of course contributed to the nice experience, but regardless, we can recommend this place for everyone who loves beautiful and peaceful nature.

Of course Tjurpannan is absolutely fantastic and the little fishing shed, Enslingen, must be one of Sweden's most photographed (apart from the colourful ones in Smögen). We were there for the first time in September last year and have thought of going there again, but do not understand where this summer went ...

Couldn't resist googling the difference between walking and hiking. This is what came up:
Purpose. I think the hike should have a purpose to discover, enjoy, see views, relax. So the walk itself and the surroundings are the goal. On a walk, the purpose can be to exercise or to move from point a to b.
I don't know if I agree. For me, walking is enjoyable on level ground with normal clothing. Can also take place in the centre of the city. Hiking for me requires proper clothing including boots and a rucksack with food and drink.
Personally, I prefer walking, preferably in the city centre;-)

So beautiful! Here I have completely missed Tjurpannan, even though I have been to Grebbestad and the surrounding area.
And nice to get there now that the tourist season is over.
Very beautiful pictures. And imagine sailing or travelling by small boat here. Would definitely be something for us.

Wonderful photos of a calm sea at Tjurpannan. But a tip is to go there when the sea is storming. Absolutely magical with cascades of water columns and high waves.

So beautiful! Have not been there but would love to go there. I have spent far too little time on the west coast in general, I feel.
