Seven activities for lazy holidays
These seven tips are for those staying at home or planning to spend a quiet holiday in their cottage/motorhome/caravan/hotel room or rented holiday home.
1. read a good book
When you read a really good book, you can really be immersed in a different world. In everyday life it can be difficult to find the time, but holidays are the perfect opportunity. Don't know what to read? Check out some book list or look for your genre in the bookshop, whether you like detective stories, novels or perhaps biographies.
2. play games
Playing games can be a fun pastime, whether you like classic board games or online games. Playing together as a group can be nice, but there are also many games that you can play on your own. For example, some people like to play casino games, which you can find at here. Others may prefer action games or games where you have to figure out or think.
3. baking
When was the last time you took the time to bake a cake? If you have access to a kitchen during your holiday - at home, in your holiday home or in your campervan - take the opportunity to bake something sweet and delicious. Choose an extra exciting cake or make something simple. Why not just roll classic chocolate balls?
4. Knit, crochet or sew ...
Are you one of those people who find crafting relaxing? Maybe you even have a knitting project lying in a drawer? The holidays can be the perfect time to start a craft project. But, let it be a peaceful activity that takes its time!
5. painting
Do you have an artistic streak? Many people enjoyed painting in childhood or adolescence, but then all the "musts" come along and those pleasurable activities are lost. Ignore performance and let the brushstrokes be what they are. In this way, painting can become a very relaxing activity.
6. try yoga
Have you been wanting to try yoga? The holidays could be the perfect opportunity. Research shows that yoga has positive effects on health, such as reducing stress and anxiety. If you don't want to go to a class, you can try it on your own, for example in front of a yoga video.
7. Take a photo walk
Walking is good for both body and mind. Having trouble finding inspiration for your walk? Take a camera (or your smartphone) and look for photo opportunities along the way. This can suddenly make your walk a bit more fun, and you might even see the regular loop with new eyes.
