What a week! We feel almost dizzy from all that has happened and is happening. Last weekend we came home from Cyprus and since then the week has been filled with meetings, events and other trips from the comfort of our home. Happy Friday!

Lovely trip to Cyprus
The journey to Cyprus was really great! Press trips are incredibly intense and there is never any rest in the schedule, but it can be incredibly rewarding and fun. In addition, Cyprus offered a really nice climate in November, with around 20-25 degrees during the day and a lot of sunshine.
New computer
Just before we left for Cyprus, I (Helena) got a new computer. My previous computer had begun to turn itself off from time to time - and then ... very reluctantly start up again.
Then, when the screen cracked, because I put it on the floor and Peter stepped on it (yes, I fat that the floor was an unsuitable place) it felt like it was time ... I am very happy with my new computer, a Lenovo that I bought at Elgiganten. Happy Friday!
Press lunch with Croatia
It felt like we had only just got back from Cyprus before it was time to focus on a new country - namely Croatia! We were invited to a press lunch because the Croatian Tourist Board wanted to tell us that Croatia is preparing to welcome many tourists in 2023.
As we have already reported in our travel news, Croatia will soon be joining Schengen and adopting the euro currency. In addition, the number of flight routes will increase, and SAS will fly to Split, Pula and Dubrovnik.
The press lunch, organised at the Biblioteket Live in Medborgarplatsen, served a very tasty and luxurious lunch.
Christmas decorations at Peter's mum's house
This week we also had time for a little trip to Peter's mum, who lives in the Gävle area. Now that our motorhome is in winter storage we have no car, so we had to rent a car. It was a nice excursion, and we could help pick out the Christmas decorations from the storage room.
Events on Viking Line - about Finland and the Baltic States
On Thursday it was time for another event, this time on board Viking Line. Here we met Finnish and Lithuanian destinations and planned for possible future trips. Exciting!
We have not travelled much in Finland (and even less so in Lithuania), but were truly inspired. These countries have a lot to offer and we became curious about all the beautiful nature areas in Finland, with national parks, castles, big lakes and exciting outdoor activities. Hopefully, we will have the opportunity to explore this more!
Best this week
Best this week? Well, it's the trip to Cyprus of course! We can live on that for quite a while. Sitting at home and going through photos and writing about the trip is almost like experiencing it again. Wonderful!
Your turn ... What has been the best part of your week? Note that it doesn't have to be something big. Small positive things can be wonderful joys in everyday life!
The week ahead
We are now home in the houseboat and will continue to hang out here for a while. Next week is fully booked with meetings and events, and here at FREEDOMtravel it will be a mixed bag. We will write more about Cyprus and things happening in Stockholm. In addition, some of our guest writers have exciting articles coming up. Hope you join us during the week!

Then you were busy this week too. Oh Cyprus is of course the highlight. Just to see the sun and a blue sky and have 20-25 degree heat is pure paradise.
Interesting with Viking Line. I knew that they go to Finland and Latvia and we have done that a number of times, but Lithuania as a destination was completely new to me.

Hi! I think I was a bit unclear there. I think I was a bit unclear there. We were at an event on board one of Viking Line's ships. which was about Finland and the Baltics (organised by a Finnish PR agency). But you are absolutely right, Viking Line does not drive to Lithuania.

I think that's the beauty of travelling. It brings joy in booking and planning, during the trip itself and then afterwards when you look at your photos and think back on all the memories.
Hope you get to go and see more of Finland. As I have relatives and family friends there, every single trip there has, for obvious reasons, involved basically the same destinations.

Totally agree! Travelling brings joy for a long time! 🙂 I understand that you went to the same places in Finland. We hope to see a little more at some point, I think there are a lot of nice things to discover in our neighbouring country!!!

There are so many exciting things happening in your lives! I would love to visit Croatia.
My week was generally good but I'm not sure what the best part was.
I changed it so that your email is no longer visible.
Good Saturday evening!

Great to hear that you had a good week! And thank you so much! Not that the email is secret, but it feels better not to post it. I have been told that there is a risk that it will be picked up by robots so you get spam .. so, thank you! 🙂
