Decrease in the number of newly registered caravans and motorhomes
Fewer motorhomes and caravans were registered in January than in the same month a year ago. The industry is still affected by component shortages, which are delaying deliveries and affecting comparative figures. High energy costs, higher interest rates and general concerns are also affecting customers' purchasing decisions at the moment.
- Caravan registrations in January 2023: 37 caravans (compared to 55 in the same month last year).
- Motorhome registrations in January 2023: 66 mobile homes (compared to 76 in the same month last year).
Forsberg leisure centre offers gas power for new motorhomes
Forsberg's leisure centre now offers the opportunity to convert new diesel-powered motorhomes to gas operation via their partner Konvegas. After conversion, the motorhome is powered by a dual fuel solution, half by gas and half by diesel, which reduces CO2 emissions by almost 40 per cent. In addition, vehicle tax is reduced by more than 90 per cent. Currently, it is only possible to convert Frankia brand motorhomes with Fiat chassis, but there are plans to offer conversions for other brands as well.

Reflection of the week
Gas operation for motorhomes sounds interesting, but we would like to know more about refuelling etc. If we understand it correctly, a converted tank can also run on diesel only, which of course solves the problem of running out of gas. By the way, we would love to stay in such an igloo for a night! How cosy it looks!
