If you like vehicles, there is a lot to enjoy at the open-air museum in Nordingrå. In the tram halls there are several old trams from Sweden, Norway and Germany.
The area also contains the mythical 'Silver Arrow'. According to several urban legends, this subway car is believed to have been a train where the dead travelled, including to Kymlinge station, a station that was never used and was therefore considered a station where the dead get off.
For example, there is a story about a girl who had been to a disco in the centre of Stockholm and was about to take the metro home. She thought the passengers looked a bit strange, and when the train finally stopped, they were at Kymlinge station. The girl's fellow passengers walked up to - and through - the locked door of the station. According to one version of the story, the girl was later found dead, and according to another, she was found alive a week later, but terrified.

We have been there too, about 15 years ago. But nothing seems to have changed! We were on our way to Kiruna and it was in autumn - not a single person more than us! Absolutely crazy place actually, like entering someone's surly brain with a collection of gadgets, various political messages in the middle of rusty trams (the third tram from Norrköping that I went to school with), and just a stave church and then a J 35 in a blissful mixture.
It was fun and different but also felt very stale and neglected - hopefully they can afford to maintain it better in the future. Definitely a place to visit - as the name suggests, once you've been there you won't forget it!

I can imagine that a lot has remained since then!!! Yes, it is a "crazy" place! One always wonders what the artist was thinking about, if he perhaps woke up in the middle of the night with new ideas ... 😉.

We visited Mannaminne a couple of years ago and can't really decide what we liked about the place; different is a good expression.
One wonders what they were thinking when they organised everything....
We also stayed at Norrfällsviken and went for a cosy walk over pebble beaches.

I understand what you mean! We liked it a lot, but it is total disorder and sometimes it itches a little in the fingers after "organising" a little, haha. Glad you were at Norrfällsviken, nice!

I usually visit Mannaminne with a guide as we have been here on business trips. Very different, to say the least. The museum was closed for a few years because the economic aspect was rather unclear. But it seems to have been sorted out now.
And the risk of forgetting "Mannaminne" is small. And it's a blissful mix where many gadgets and buildings have their own history.
Good for you with a visit here.

Certainly extra interesting to visit with a guide!!! I'm not fully aware of how it works now, but understood that it is run by a foundation.
