Bilprovningen: Serious flaws in one in five caravans.
Of the nearly 19,000 caravans inspected by Bilprovningen in 2022, three out of ten had defects. The most common (19 per cent) were remarks against components in the brake system. Another common fault is that the push-on device, which has a limited movement, starts to work too late when braking. Car testing tips for the camping season:
- Check the tyres: tread depth, cracks, damage, age and air pressure.
- Check the brakes and have them serviced if necessary.
- Check the lights and the trailer plug.
- Check the condition of the batteries.
- Check that the ventilation is working.
- When parking and camping, protect the tyres from sunlight.
- Ensure that the caravan has been inspected and passed a gas test.

Reflection of the week
We visited Tunisia in 2021 and fell in love with this beautiful and exciting North African country. It is really fun that they have started with a direct line from Stockholm! For our part, it will be fantastic to see the country again, and of course to experience new places!

Ditte says:
Wish you a nice stay in Tuisien I used to work here for a few seasons and it was very nice and fun. Remember extra Djerba and Sidi Bou Said.
But in those days it was often difficult for a female tour guide to do the job in the smaller villages and towns. But definitely easier than travelling alone in Egypt.
