Norrfällsvikens Camping, Stugby & Marina
Norrfällsvikens Camping, Stugby & Marina is a fantastic place for anyone who appreciates beautiful nature. In addition, you can enjoy a sauna and wilderness bath by the sea, or an archipelago buffet at the restaurant Fiskarfänget.
Norrfällsvikens camping is located in Mjällom in Nordingrå, just over 20 miles north of Kramfors.
Staying at Norrfällsvikens camping
We stayed at Norrfällsviken's campsite for one night during our trip to the High Coast, and the first thing we noticed is how large it is. There are plenty of pitches for motorhomes and caravans, both in the middle of nature and with a view of the sea. There is also a large area inside the campsite gates that is a nature reserve.
Since we were here in pre-season, there were quite a few places, and we chose to stand overlooking the sea. This beach is rocky, but if you want to swim, there is another beach that is much more suitable for that: Storsands havsbad.
The service centres, located in several places in the area, are very fresh and modern, either new or recently renovated.
For those not travelling with a motorhome or caravan, there are also a number of alternatives. There are both large and small cottages in the area, as well as hotel rooms. Since there is a marina with a guest harbour, you can also choose to come with your own boat.
A charming fishing village with restaurants
What makes the environment at Norrfällsviken's campsite so nice is partly the nature reserves, and partly the charming little fishing village located here. In the summer, you can eat here at the fish restaurant Fiskarfänget, which organises things like prawn feasts and archipelago buffets, or at the pizzeria Kompassen.
Activities at the campsite - from sea kayaking to wilderness swimming
There is a lot to do at or around Norrfällsviken campsite. Swimming is best done at Storsand's sea baths, or from the cliffs in the nature reserves. You can also play boules, street basketball, beach volleyball, table tennis, tennis, mini-golf, padel and golf. In addition, you can hike in the beautiful nature or rent an electric bike, motorboat or sea kayak.
One of the things we found most appealing was the beautiful hot tubs located by the sea, along with a cosy sauna with a starry sky. The sauna is included in the price for all guests (firewood is available at reception) and the hot tub is rented and booked the day before.
For children there is also a playground, indoor playroom, swimming pool, film screenings and a small rabbit warren.
Four nature reserves
In and around Norrfällsviken campsite, within two kilometres, there are no less than four nature reserves, making this a great place for all nature lovers.
- Norrfällsviken Nature Reserve with shingle from the ice age
- Storsand Nature Reserve with sand dunes
- Rammbergets nature reserve with the tunnel cave
- Villmyran nature reserve with beautiful orchids
