Visit Sweden in global campaign - Sweden is not Switzerland

To once and for all clear up the associations between the countries, and make it clear which country is which and in which country you can find what - Visit Sweden launched a campaign on 24 October to clarify the concepts. The confusion and the fact that Visit Sweden wants to emphasise that Sweden is a different type of destination, a destination of a different nature that offers "luxury of a different nature" - are some of the bases of the campaign.

Autumn holidays boost travel prices - but bargains to follow

The autumn holidays are fast approaching and the desire to travel is at its peak, with an increase in bookings of 27 percent compared to last year, according to statistics from the travel agency Ticket. The autumn holiday is one of the most intense travel weeks of the year as all schools in the country are closed, which means that the prices of travel during this period increase significantly. However, if you can travel the following week, you can find trips for almost half the price. Most popular destinations for autumn holidays, based on Ticket's statistics:

  1. Gran Canaria
  2. London
  3. Bangkok
  4. Malaga
  5. Barcelona

  1. Canary Islands (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, Lanzarote)
  2. Cyprus
  3. Rhodes

New nature huts in northern Norway

ÖÖD Houses has launched two new nature cabins in Northern Norway: ÖÖD by WonderInn Arctic. This is the first Glääzy house in Norway. The glass walls and roof are designed to enjoy the view of mountain peaks, fjords and, with a bit of luck, the northern lights directly from the bed. There is also a jacuzzi. ÖÖD by WonderInn Arctic is located in the Arctic Circle, one hour from Evenes International Airport and only 20 minutes from Harstad City.

Reflection of the week

The top lists show as usual that the Canary Islands are at the top in autumn and winter, which is not so strange given the climate and distance. Nice that Cyprus also climbed up the lists - a destination we liked a lot!
