Money back in case of rain - TUI launches weather guarantee
TUI is the first travel operator in Sweden to launch a weather guarantee that provides financial compensation in case of rain, in cooperation with Sensible Weather, a climate technology company. When booking, customers can subscribe to the weather guarantee at an additional cost based on the weather forecast for the hotel's location. A forecast of rainfall of 1.5 mm per hour or more, for at least two hours, automatically activates the guarantee and provides payment on the same day. The amount of compensation is determined by the total value of the trip. The Weather Guarantee will be launched in October and is available as an option on selected TUI package holidays.
Clarion Hotel Draken has come to life - Sweden's tallest hotel building

The hotel has a total of 474 hotel rooms, three of which are suites located on floor 29 of the building. Survey - the best ice cream in Sweden
A new survey by Countryside Hotels reveals where Sweden's best ice cream can be found. At the top of the list is Söderköping in Östergötland, where queues for the ice cream parlour Smultronstället are often long. In silver place we find the ice cream town of Åhus, with its Åhusglass and Otto & Glassfabriken in nearby Yngsjö. Here is the top list of Sweden's best ice cream:
Sweden's best car park in 2023
Ställplats Naven has been voted best in Sweden by the readers of Husbil & Husvagn magazine. One of the success factors is listening to visitors' suggestions. There are games for hire, a boules court and a sauna with panoramic windows. Ställplats Naven is located in the Västra Götaland region, not far from Lidköping and Läckö Castle. You can see all the nominated sites here:
- Real estate site Naven (32 %)
- Arontorp body cakes & food (23 %)
- Uva Park (18 %)
- Guest site Gränna (16 %)
- High Coast Whisky (11 %)
Reflection of the week
We love trying ice cream in the summer, so one day we'll probably present our favourites too! Fun with a list of good campsites too! Of these, we have only tested Gästplats Gränna, which is very nice, so the others we have in front of us to test. What do you think of the ice cream and camping site lists?

We like to eat ice cream in the summer, so we have tried ice cream in Söderköping, Nora and Åhus. The Nora ice cream is probably the winner! In Döderköping we ate ice cream at a small ice cream shop up in the city that we think had homemade really good ice cream, while we think that Smultronställets ice cream came from some big company? Then we are local patriots and like Mos ter Elins in Hjo.
We have visited the Navens site in October a few years ago and it is really a well maintained nice site with an incredible location, well b we are its first place!

We also liked the ice cream in Söderköping, but it was not Smultronstället that became a favourite for us, but one of the other places 😉 Moster Elins is also nice, remember that they have so many different varieties there! Glad you visited the winner place!

Will stay one night at Clarion Hotel Draken next week (business trip with work) and really looking forward to it. It looks very nice on the pictures I have seen.

Great! Yes, it looked great in the press photos! (Then I do not like to live too high up, but you can always live further down ;)) Hope it will be a good business trip!

Yes, an ice cream in the summer is never completely wrong, Nora and Söderköping we have tried!
They had good ice creams in both places as we remember!
Naven seems a nice place, we have missed it over the years unfortunately!
Enjoy the new week......

When it comes to lists, I am usually quite indifferent to them. But it depends a bit on what it is. If I'm buying ice cream, I like to try different ones regardless of "lists". In Stockholm I like to eat ice cream from "Snö" and "Kenny's gelato".
But of course you have your favourites when it comes to most things and that regardless of lists. Then when it comes to pitches and the like, it is very good to get tips, As for hotels, it varies a lot depending on one's own wishes. Some people think a hotel is the top and others think it is the bottom. Just like with most things.

Interesting glass stands you mention! Thanks for the tips! We love the ice cream at Gräddnos on Rörstrandsgatan!

I'm not too familiar with ice cream parlours, but I like to choose ice cream from Mariestad called Klings glass.
The Naven site is not far from Lidköping, so it's nice that it tops the lists anyway. Our Kronocamping here in town has also won a prize, I have it opposite me.
Hugs!

Ice cream is something that I really like while my husband thinks so and so. Söderköping has a good ice cream with its own production at Rådhustorget, downstairs. The Nora ice cream is yummy and then we have made many stops at Götlunda ice cream.

Ice cream, we love it! Have of these places only eaten ice cream in Nora and it is so far our number one in all categories. May be a visit to the other cities as well. But Stockholm is big...
Right now we are testing ice cream in Italy in full force as we drive our own Italy around. So far, Tropea is in the best position🤩.

As many have pointed out, Söderköping's best ice cream can be found downstairs at Rådhustorget. This favourite spot is the town's biggest tourist trap, but certainly worth a visit for the sake of the environment.
We liked the glass café in Trosa, Elin's, when we were there at the Craft Fair. Very cosy with friends that weekend in Trosa.

Now I do not know if it is the best ice cream parlour but it must be the oldest, Halvars glass in Norrköping, where I as a child with a coin from my grandmother's concierge could buy ice cream. Slagsta glass Eskilstuna is also an old famous place with ice cream.

We have the privilege of buying OTTO GLASS all year round which has the best flavours in our opinion. This is due to our favourite store EXTRA in Mjällby which by the way provides the BEST goods and quality for our daily needs of supplies.
