The week has offered a wonderful press trip and fun events. Still, it feels like the best thing of all is that we are back home in Stockholm. We have been tired and exhausted, and now it's nice to try to catch up. Happy Friday!

Press trip in Istanbul
During the week, we have been on a press trip in Istanbultogether with three journalists from Sweden, Denmark and Norway. It almost felt like we had no time for this trip, but it was still really fun to get away. We really like Istanbul! It's an incredibly vibrant city with a great atmosphere. These are the reports we have written so far:
- Food Tour in Istanbul - for all food lovers
- Visiting the Yerebatan Cisterns in Istanbul - the Sunken Palace
- 9 restaurants in Istanbul you don't want to miss
Event at the Spanish Embassy
While we were in Istanbul, an event was organised at the Spanish Embassy in Stockholm. Unfortunately, we had no opportunity to be there ourselves, but were represented by our guest writer. Miss Lopez.
The Spanish Embassy wanted to highlight the fact that Spain has 15 (!) World Heritage Cities: Alcalá de Henares, Ávila, Baeza, Cáceres, Córdoba, Cuenca, Eivissa, Mérida, Salamanca, San Cristóbal de la Laguna, Santiago de Compostela, Segovia, Tarragona, Toledo and Úbeda.
Recently, Freedom Travel had the privilege of attending a fascinating event organised by the Spanish Embassy in Sweden, focusing on the rich historical cities beyond the stereotypical sun and sangria images.
The gathering, which brought together prominent figures in the Swedish tourism industry, offered a delightful mix of Spanish tapas, wine and bubbly. The event included an engaging presentation highlighting the breathtaking beauty and historical importance of Spain's cities, emphasising that Spain has much more to offer than its famous beach destinations.
An excellent evening celebrating cultural treasures and showcasing Spain as an attractive and diverse tourist destination."

Turkish coffee and tea at the Turkish Embassy
We did, however, make it home for an event at the Turkish Embassy in Stockholm. Very appropriate when we have just been in Istanbul. The event focused on Turkish coffee and tea. Very interesting!
The most enjoyable part was when we got to taste it! Turkish tea is easy to like. Turkish coffee can be strong, but is good as long as you are careful of the "swamp" that remains at the bottom. And then there are the sweets - baklava, Turkish delight and other sweet and nutty ... Yum!
Best this week
Best this week? To be honest, it's great to be home in Stockholm. We love travelling, but it's also nice to land at home sometimes, especially when you've been stressed and sick. So we say Happy Friday to being home!
Your turn ... what can you highlight as positive from the week?
The week ahead
We're going to the theatre, and we'll hopefully go on a little cruise to Finland. Otherwise, we will be at home and work!
Here at FREEDOMtravel you can expect everything from tips on Christmas markets to more reports on Turkey. And maybe a guest report or two!

It's good for you to be home and settle down a bit! "Fun" may be fun, but there are limits to when it becomes too much and you have to recover.
Oh our best week.... you may remember me mentioning a big contract... last Saturday we brought home our new motorhome! In less than 24 hours we ate four meals and slept in it 🙂 So happy! It is a brand new Sun living S75SC. It is a so-called entry-level car and Adria's little brother, but it feels like really good quality anyway. Next weekend is the first trip. 🙂

Wow!!! Oh so funny! Big, big congratulations!!! What fun! I look forward to hearing even more about this soon! Where does the first tour go?

Thank you, please! You can trust that there will be posts about it (in addition to the two I already published) 🙂 The first trip is planned to... Arboga... of all places. It became a bit of spinning a pass on the map and finding some decent little place about an hour away, where there is something to do on a Saturday in early December. There are museums and hiking trails. Pretty much what we need.

Fun! You don't always have to travel so far! And especially not in the beginning with a new motorhome, then it is fantastic just to be out on the road. Wishing you a nice weekend!

Yes, that's how it turns out in the end ... Fun with a lot going on, but you have to rest from time to time. And yes, fun with the timing of the coffee! 🙂

As fun as travelling is, it's quite nice to land at home and catch up with life.
We are one of those boring people who don't like Turkish coffee and the like. Thankfully, I know how to brew regular, honest coffee. ....
We are also going on a small cruise with former neighbours, to Kiel, it will be fun and maybe we will get some Christmas spirit at the Christmas market....

Haha, well, I can definitely understand! Turkish coffee is strong and a bit special. I still usually drink tea, and Turkish tea is good! Small sips of the coffee also work well, I think 🙂 Nice with the cruise! Wishes a nice weekend!
