Hello dear travellers! I want to share with you my fantastic winter trip to Nerja on the Costa del Sol in Spain. The trip, which I chose to do in cooperation with Boka Nerja, really exceeded my expectations in every way.
The dream of a holiday in the sun
Nerja, known for Europe's best climate, is a sunny oasis all year round. With Mediterranean temperatures in summer and Swedish summer weather in winter, this was paradise for sun lovers like me. The city is located in a unique, protected subtropical zone where avocados, mangoes and other tropical fruits thrive. Right now, during December, it's around 25 degrees - perfect!
Boka Nerja and their staff really went out of their way to ensure my trip was unforgettable. They helped me find the perfect holiday accommodation, offered exciting excursions and activities and were there throughout my stay to ensure everything ran smoothly.
Discover Nerja, discover Andalusia
Andalusia and Nerja offered everything I could wish for in a holiday - whether I wanted to be active or just relax. You can hike in the beautiful surroundings, cycle along the coast, go horse riding, try padel or tennis, and explore beautiful coves and waterfalls through water sports such as kite surfing and kayaking. Whatever your interest, there was something for everyone.
I took it a little slower, and it turned out perfect anyway! Also, it felt really nice to stay in an apartment hotel and be able to cook whenever you want!
Nerja is not just sun and beaches; it is a city rich in history and charm. My favourite spot was undoubtedly the Balcón de Europa, this beautiful viewpoint, translated as 'Balcony of Europe', which offers panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea. Walking along this paradise and stopping to enjoy the artists, musicians and stunning views became a daily routine for me.
Nerja: more than just sunshine and beaches
For those who have not yet visited this magical place, I cannot recommend it enough. It's a place where the sun always shines, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is unbeatable.
Travelling to Nerja was a fantastic experience. From the first contact with the travel agent to the last sunny days at the Balcón de Europa, everything felt perfectly organised.
If you dream of a holiday in the sun, full of adventure and magical experiences, and at the same time take it easy with direct flights from Sweden to Malaga, Nerja is definitely the place to be. A good tip from me if you want to go to Nerja is that you contact bokanerja.se and let them make your dream trip come true! ¡Hasta luego!

Lena in Wales and a bit everywhere says:
I have worked a lot in Nerja.
The city is nice, but lacks a long promenade that is found in many places along the Costa del Sol. In addition, it is a bit remote, far from excursions, compared to the west of Málaga.
The city is very popular with Swedes, Swedish is heard everywhere... The fact that there are a lot of Swedes can be both positive and negative, depending on how you want it.
Merry Christmas!
