Now we are on our way to South Africa! We have had a last week in Sweden, where we have been to an exclusive film screening of the new TV series "Ireland's wild island world". Now new adventures await. Happy Friday!

One last week in Sweden
During our last week in Sweden, before leaving for South Africa, the focus was on the trip itself. It was an evening with five-course luxury dinner, together with Peter's son Robin and his wife Alexandra - partly to plan the joint part of the trip in South Africa. Then there was laundry, packing, shopping for the little things we needed and eating leftovers to empty the fridge ...
Screening of the TV series "Ireland's wild island world"
This week we have also been to a screening of the new TV series Ireland's Wild Islandsat the Saga Film City, organised by Tourism Ireland. First, Agneta Sjödin interviewed presenter Eoin Warner about his journey along the west coast of Ireland and then we saw an exclusive Director's Cut from the series' episodes.
Incredible views and completely fantastic filming, not least of the wildlife, which you get really, really close to. We ourselves have travelled in a small campervan along the coast in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and it was truly an experience to remember for life.
If you can't make it to Ireland right now, we highly recommend checking out the TV series! The Swedish version of "Ireland's Wild Island World" is shown in two parts and is now available on SVT Play!
Travelling to South Africa
And so it was finally time for the trip to South Africa! We are currently on the road and when you read this, we are somewhere between Stockholm and Johannesburg, or possibly at the airport in Addis Adeba, where we stopover.
Best this week
Best thing this week? For us, it is of course that we have finally travelled to South Africa. Now a 1.5 month long adventure starts, which we are really looking forward to.
Your turn - big or small - what can you highlight as positive from the week?
The week ahead
We will spend the coming week partly in Johannesburg and partly in the Kruger Park. Our plan is to publish a little greeting from Johannesburg on Sunday. Otherwise, you can expect some pre-set reports. Among other things, our guest writer, Anna Nilsson Spets, talks about her recent trip to Jordan. Don't miss it!
Of course, you can follow our journey in South Africa on Instagram too: @freedomtravelnews

How wonderful to be on the way to your dream trip!
The best part of the week is undoubtedly that my shoulder got new spare parts and that the first night at home went really well. It does not sit on the outside! Thanks for the tip on the Ireland series. Now we have plenty of time to spend on the TV sofa!
Now we wish you a great stay in beautiful South Africa!
