Booked a trip - got it for free
Rolfs Flyg & Buss has reached a new milestone by turning over one billion SEK at 17:11 on 23 July 2024. This is a unique event in the entire travel industry, as no group tour operator has ever had a turnover of this volume. To celebrate the achievement, Rolfs Flyg & Buss decided to invite the couple who helped the company reach the billion SEK mark on the trip. Marie Björklund and Denis Björkstrand received the trip, Italy Wine Tour 7 days, free of charge. "It feels incredible, it feels like we've won the lottery, or how should I put it", says Marie.
Finnlines adjusts timetable to meet high demand for cruises to Åland
From 5 August, it will be easier for Swedish travellers to make day trips to Åland and back with Finnlines. The departure from Kapellskär, just north of Stockholm, will be postponed and the departure from Långnäs in Åland will be brought forward, resulting in a shorter stopover and a smoother change of ships. On board the Finnsirius and Finncanopus offers a range of experiences, including a spa, sauna and gym. Summer also offers live music on most departures and an entertainment programme for the whole family.

Reflection of the week
Interesting that so many people would like to travel more, if only they had travelling companions! We do have each other when travelling, but I imagine solo travellers have a lot to offer! Have you ever travelled on your own?

Ditte says:
Have travelled many times on my own since I was 16, then train hopping and language course for 6 weeks in Switzerland. Then continued travelling alone for several years. Gave a lot and being alone with myself when I travelled has been something I liked. Now counted roughly and until now, at the age of 75, I counted the number of trips abroad I made and trips in the countries and came up with about 30. Then there are trips within Sweden.
The fact that Finnlines will continue to drive to Långnäs from Kapellskär feels sad if you do not have a car with you. Mariehamn or Eckerö would be better for the tourism industry in Åland. Now you can take a full day trip Stockholm to Mariehamn with Viking and change boats there or stay overnight and go home the next day - Långnäs in particular does not have much to offer.
Heard about a "new" shipping company possibly. has plans to take up the traffic Kapellskär to Mariehamn and that would be great. However, everyone should also pay off.
Wishing you great days now through Sweden.

I can imagine that travelling alone gives a lot! I myself (Helena) have only travelled alone to a limited extent, mostly for work. Incredible how much you have had time to travel and see !!! The fact that Finnlines travels from ports a little outside the big cities is probably because their main target group is trucks. But of course, their new ships are fantastically nice to cruise with too.
