Reflection of the week
Interesting that young people worry more about holidays than older people! What is the reason for this? Higher demands, greater expectations, less experience...? What do you think?

Ditte says:
Think this younger people worrying more about the holidays is a fairly recent phenomenon. I can't remember ever doing it. Started travelling by train on my own at the age of 15 and have since continued travelling fairly actively until I was just over 70. (In recent years, illness has unfortunately stopped me from some longer trips. Even some shorter ones...) And the travelling became what it became without having so much decided in advance.
Younger people today seem to worry a lot in general these days and perhaps it is insecurity that is behind the anxiety before holidays. Many are so used to having a lot of things served on a "silver platter" and that much should be organised beforehand. Spontaneity seems to have disappeared and everything "has to be so fantastic". If young people remove a lot of requirements, I think the anxiety would generally decrease.

Like you, we don't remember this from our youth either ... We had some similar thoughts, high expectations that it must be "fantastic" among other things. It doesn't always turn out that way, but then it can be good anyway, in some other way ...
