This summer, Diggiloo will play 24 concerts in 24 different cities in Sweden, in a 3.5-hour music show. According to the organisers of Diggiloo, it's a show that appeals to all ages. After this year's visit, I can agree that it does.

Many people have probably visited Diggiloo or at least heard about the show. So what is Diggiloo? It's several artists touring together and performing songs with a live band.

The first time it took place was in 2003 with a show only in Båstad. The very next year it became a show that travelled around on tour.

This year's artists are Anders Bagge, Lucianoz, Wiktoria, Andreas Lundstedt, Liamoo, Andreas Weise, Elisa Lindström, Jessica Andersson, Lisa Stadell, Saga Ludvigsson, comedian Ann Westin and new Idol winner Cimberly Wanyonyi.

Most of them are familiar to me, but there were a few newcomers I hadn't heard much about. During the evening, we learnt that 8,000 people gathered to listen to the artists.

It was the second occasion for the Diggiloo gang this season as they had only been to Ronneby before tonight's event in Ystad.

The evening started with an ABBA medley and it felt like the audience was on the same page.

At Diggiloo, old favourites, newer songs and a little chat about the artists where we get to know them a little. The sun shone at the beginning of the evening and we had nice weather until the last song that ended with DiggilooDiggiley.

Then it started to rain and those in the audience who had rainwear put it on and continued to stand up and dance. The great thing about the mixed age of the audience is that it is so wonderful to see that young and old stood and danced together in the Scanian summer evening.

When the concert was over, we rushed to the car to take shelter from the rain. In summary, it was a wonderful and joyful evening of music with typical Swedish summer weather.
