This week we've been to a concert, and we've been invited to dinner at home. In addition, we are in the middle of a slightly disruptive redesign of the site. Happy Friday!

Travelling by motorhome in Dalarna
We are currently on a motorhome holiday in Dalarna, and we have recently shared tips about Orsa and told them about our visit to Zorngården in Mora.
Concert at Dalhalla
We have also been to a concert at Dalhalla, in Rättvik. Wow! We've never been here before and the venue, located in an old limestone quarry, is just soooo delicious.
There is a caravan park right next to the arena - about 400 SEK/night and no service, but of course convenient to be parked there. However, it was full so we stood in the regular car park, and drove after the concert to a gravel car park where we could stay overnight.
What about the concert? We went to "We Will Rock You" - a musical with Queen songs. Really good!!! Great atmosphere too, even though it rained a lot ... We Will Rock You is now over for this year, but will return in 2025!
Lots of good food
Peter is in a "cooking flow" right now. He loves to cook, watches cooking videos on Youtube and buys delicacies here and there along the route... All of a sudden he came home to the motorhome with lots of chanterelles (not from the forest but from the shop!) - what a luxury!
We've had a lot of good dinners lately. One of my favourites is turkey breast, cooked in sous vide, and served with mashed potatoes, plum compote, orange sauce and salad. Wow, so good!
Invited to dinner at home!
Our travel blogger colleague and good friend Christian from Food and travel blog (check out his inspiring site!) has a summer house in Dalarna and we were lucky enough to be invited for dinner one evening. Fantastically nice!
In addition to (of course!) getting good food, we got to hang out with Christian's family and take a morning dip (well, just Christian and Peter!) in the beautiful lake. What a lovely evening and morning! Many thanks!
Reconstruction is ongoing ...
Have you noticed that we're doing some remodelling on the site...? If so, it is because that is what we are doing. It's not quite ready yet, but we're making it so that a specific part of the site only has focus on motorhome travel and living. We will get back to you when everything is ready!
Best this week
The best thing this week? We appreciate the opportunity to eat good food, meet good friends and see nice places. The seems also like the roof of the campervan is now rainproof, after last week's leak and repair... Happy Friday!
The week ahead
We continue to travel in Dalarna. You can expect reports on Mora, Leksand and Rättvik. We've travelled a little further than that, but we're still in Dalarna. If you want to follow more in real time, you can follow us on Instagram at @freedomtravelnews. We would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very happy Friday and weekend!

It sounds divinely good with the combo Peter made.. love fruit in food .. greets a lousy kitchen princess with a broken stove.. not been able to buy a new one.. thought to renovate the kitchen after changing the trunk in the autumn.. ( has become a little better at cooking in the micro) who does not even know what sous vide is :-).
Have a great trip!

We also like fruit in food a lot! (But know that not everyone does ...) Sous vide is a kind of "rod" that you put in a bowl / saucepan with water. You wrap the meat and put it in the bowl/pot, where it then gets the desired temperature, without having to watch it 😉

What a wonderful week you have had! The concert at Dalhalla is so powerful and good food always gilds life. Best of all must be that the roof keeps tight. We have also had a good week and the days go by so we hardly know what day of the week it is. We have met Linda and Pär, met musk oxen and rolled a little south so in the middle of next week we will probably be home. Then it's time to plan for new experiences....

Dalhalla was incredibly delicious to experience! But yes, agree, that the roof is tight is probably the most important thing! What fun that you met Linda and Pär! And musk oxen 🙂

Sure, Dalhalla is a cool concert venue! When I was on a course week outside Leksand, Pet Shop Boys would have a concert at Dalhalla so I bought a ticket at the last minute and drove there🙂

Glad to read that there is absolutely no need for you. In addition, it is perfect to be married to a hobby chef and also be invited to dinner with a food blogger. Continue on that line: -)

Yes, in these particular cases I am lucky I must say 😉
