On 11-15 September 2024, it is once again time for the Nordic region's largest trade fair for mobile life: Elmia Husvagn Husbil. We, from FREEDOMtravel, will be there, as co-organiser of the Destinationstorget. You can expect travel inspiration, lectures, award for "Destination of the Year 2024" and much more.

FREEDOMtravel at the Destination Square

Elmia Husvagn Husbil is the Nordic region's largest fair for mobile life, with lots of exhibitors of motorhomes, caravans and camping accessories, while there is inspiration and festivities. At Destinationstorget, organised in collaboration with us at FREEDOMtravel, you will meet destinations and travel-related exhibitors.

This year you will find the Destination Square in the Congress Centre and the Destination Stage in Rydberg Hall. At Destinationstorget, you are welcome to meet us, who will be there with our own stand. Welcome to ask for travel tips or to talk about travel for a while!

Lectures on the Destination Stage

This year there will be lots of exciting lectures on the Destination Stage in Rydbergssalen! Among other things, you can listen to HusbilsAnnika, Husbilsresor & Äventyr, Glamping Explorer, Vanlife Sverige, The Swedish Family and Glasriket.

Topics include everything from destinations in Sweden and Europe to travelling with the family or using apps while travelling. You can find the full lecture programme at freedomtravel.se/destinationstorget and on elmia.se/caravan. If you want to listen to us at FREEDOMtravel, you can aim for these times:

• Wednesday 11 September at 15:00: By motorhome in glorious Hälsingland
• Thursday 12 Sept at 12:00: Around Siljan
• Friday 13 Sept at 15:30: By campervan in glorious Hälsingland
• Saturday 14 Sept at 15:30: Siljan round

Destination of the Year 2024 Award

At FREEDOMtravel, we are once again honouring "Destination of the Year Europe" and "Destination of the Year Sweden". This award has been created to highlight destinations, such as resorts or areas, that have a lot to offer the mobile traveller, in the form of sights, experiences, campsites and pitches.

Previous years' winners of "Destination Europe of the Year" are Děčín in the Czech Republic (2023). The winners of the "Destination of the Year Sweden" in previous years are Kingdom of glass and Kosta (2022) and Gränna (2023).

New this year, the Swedish award has been voted for by FREEDOMtravel readers and Elmia visitors, via the Elmia website. The nominated destinations are: High coast, Karlskrona, Mariestad, Lysekil and Helsingborg. The winners of the award will be presented at the fair, on the Destination Stage in Rydberg Hall:

• Friday 13 Sept at 16:00: Destination Europe 2024
• Saturday 14 September at 16:00: Destination Sweden 2024
