Campingbio is once again coming to the major Elmia Husvagn Husbil trade fair in Jönköping. But what is Campingbio really? We have talked to the founders and enthusiasts behind the project: Katarina Tjernström and Malin Wiktorsson.

Interview with the founders of Campingbio

We've met them several times over the years, Katarina and Malin from Campingbio, and each time we are impressed by their commitment and drive. With their project - free cinema touring the country - they want to spread feelings of joy and community. In connection with the fair Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2024 It's that time again, and we've taken the opportunity to ask you a bunch of questions.

Camping cinema ... what is it really?

Campingbio is an event that offers free film screenings and other activities for the whole family.

You have toured with Campingbio in previous summers. What does a tour with Campingbio entail?

This means that over the course of a few weeks, we will visit around 20 campsites around Sweden with our event.

What is the best thing about touring with Campingbio?

The best part is being able to make people happy by providing free entertainment and fun activities that the whole family can do together.

Can you tell us about a funny, hilarious or special memory from previous tours?

It must be the time we visited the campsite at Kolmården as it was pouring with rain all day. It was completely impossible for us to set up the event, so we ended up arranging a drive-in cinema in a nearby car park and they had to drive their cars there and watch the film.

Will you be touring again?

Yes, absolutely!

You're coming to Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2024, tell us, what's going to happen?

We will be at the fair on Friday 13/9 and Saturday 14/9 offering film screenings at Elmia's outdoor area Ekdungen. This is a place for the kids at the fair where they can watch films while mum and dad look at motorhomes and camping accessories.

What do you hope your participation at Elmia Husvagn Husbil will mean?

We love producing events and we love film, so it's bringing the best of both worlds together.

What is the future of Campingbio?

We feel that the future looks bright and you will see us on the road again next summer.
