Motorhomes at Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2024

One could of course see lots of different motorhomes at Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2024. Since we were primarily exhibitors and lecturers, we had limited time to look around, but we still had time to take a few laps and look for news and other interesting things. Here are ten motorhomes, including tiny ones, that we spotted.

In general, we felt that there is an upsurge and interest in slightly smaller and more compact motorhomes. Price is a factor here, of course, but there is also an increased interest in taking the motorhome abroad, and that it should be practical and convenient no matter where you are travelling.

1. Kabe Classic 740 LGB - favourite in reruns

This Kabe model has been off the market since 2021, but is now back. Because this motorhome is not too big, and because it has a Fiat chassis, the price is a little more 'humane' compared to other Kabe motorhomes, while at the same time you get the various Kabe advantages in terms of quality, for example in the form of double glazing.

  • Length: 7.40 metres
  • Total weight: 3 650 kg
  • Sleeping places: 2
  • Basic price: 1 360 000

2. Dethleffs Globeus Performence 4×4 - with four-wheel drive

At the fair, Dethleff's first motorhome with four-wheel drive had its Swedish premiere. This is a semi-integrated motorhome that is particularly suitable for rough roads.

  • Length: 6.85 metres
  • Total weight: 3 500 kg
  • Sleeping places: 3
  • Price: SEK 1 622 000

3. Hobby Optima de Luxe T75 HGE - with Nordic design

This Hobby campervan is a semi-integrated vehicle with nice clean lines and a stylish Nordic design inside. This model had long beds, but there are also variants with other layouts.

  • Length: 7.52 metres
  • Total weight: 3 650 kg
  • Sleeping places: 4 (+1 optional)
  • Price (exhibition vehicle): SEK 1 195 000

4. Concorde Carver 920 D - with garage for the car

Concorde showed a number of motorhomes for those who want to glide around the roads in something really big and luxurious. In this model, you can even have a car with you in the motorhome garage, under the double bed.

  • Length: 9.45 metres
  • Total weight: 7 490 kg
  • Sleeping places: 2 (4)
  • Ord. price (incl. equipment): 5 165 525 kr

5. Roller Team Kronos Fit 291 P - smaller and slimmer

Italian Roller Team showcased a smaller and slimmer motorhome. This model is just under six metres long and only 2.15 metres wide, making it easy to drive and park.

  • Length: 5.99 metres
  • Total weight: 3 500 kg
  • Sleeping places: 2 + 1
  • Basic price: SEK 877 000

6. Knaus Tourer Cuv Cuvision 500 MQ - with retractable roof

Knaus showed a slightly odd special model with a folding roof. When the roof is down, the motorhome is relatively low, making it easier to function as a normal everyday car. It is only when the roof is folded up that you get a high roof height.

  • Length: 5.99 metres
  • Total weight: 3 500 kg
  • Sleeping places: 2
  • Basic price: SEK 1 340 000

7. Kabe Novum 720 LXL Compact - agile compact car

This motorhome from Kabe is a slightly more convenient variant. Compared to many other Kabe motorhomes, it is both a little shorter and slightly narrower, and thus easy to park.

  • Length: 7.16 metres
  • Total weight: 3 500 kg
  • Sleeping places: 2
  • Basic price: SEK 1 441 000

8. Weinsberg X-pedition 600 MQ - for the adventurer

There was some focus on adventure and the outdoors at the show, not least in the form of the X-pedition from Weinsberg. This is a robust motorhome with four-wheel drive, based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

  • Length: 6.3 metres
  • Total weight: 3 500 kg
  • Sleeping places: 2
  • Basic price: SEK 1 650 000

9. Carthage / Malibu Van Genius Mercedes - campervan with four-wheel drive

Both Carthago and Malibu, part of the Carthago group, showcased their new Genius van. This new agile camper van is equipped with a Mercedes chassis and four-wheel drive. Using innovative body extension, the van is 6.4 metres long, which is an unusual length for Mercedes, but handy for getting what you want in without making the van too long.

An interesting fact is that the price differs considerably depending on whether you choose the Carthago or the Malibu, even though they are essentially the same vehicle.

  • Length: 6.4 metres
  • Total weight: 3 500 kg (or 4 100 kg)
  • Sleeping places: 2
  • Price: 1,723,000 (Carthago) or 1,243,720 (Malibu)

10. Challenger R & D- a slimmer motorhome

One trend at the show was compact and slightly smaller motorhomes. This Challenger motorhome was typical of this, measuring just under seven metres long and only 2.10 metres wide.

  • Length: 6.59 metres
  • Total weight: 3 500 kg
  • Sleeping places: 2 (3)
  • Basic price: 959 900 kr
