Today, Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2024 opens, at the Elmia fair in Jönköping. We are there of course! Today we have ten tips on what's happening at the fair - that you don't want to miss.

What happens at Elmia Caravan Motorhome 2024

Elmia Husvagn Husbil 2024 will be held on 11-15 September at the Elmia fair in Jönköping. As usual, a lot is happening at the fair. First of all, there are of course lots of exhibitors, focusing on motorhomes, caravans, accessories and destinations.

There will also be festivities and a wide range of events. Here are some things you might not want to miss! For exact times and locations see Elmia's daily programme.

1. Exhibition halls with motorhomes, caravans and accessories

If you want to check out camping vehicles and camping accessories - well, you've come to the right place! You can expect to find motorhomes, caravans, campervans, tents, camping equipment, motorhome clubs and much more. Have a look at the Allround Car Fair Guide!

2. The destination square

The destination gateway, organised by Elmia in collaboration with FREEDOMtravel, was a novelty last year. Then you found the square in the big tent, but this year we are in the South Lobby. You are welcome to talk travel and destinations with us at FREEDOMtravel, as well as to meet other exhibitors with a focus on destinations.

3. inspirational lectures

In the Congress Centre you will find The destination scene, which this year takes place in Rydberg Hall. It is a really exciting lecture programme that is offered, with a focus on travel and destinations. Among other things, you can listen to HusbilsAnnika, Husbilsresor & Äventyr, Glamping Explorer, Vanlife Sverige, The Swedish Family and Glasriket. You can find the full programme here. • Wednesday 11 September 15:00: With a motorhome in glorious Hälsingland
• Thursday 12 September 12:00: Around Siljan
• Friday 13 September 15:30: With a motorhome in glorious Hälsingland

4. Motorhome school

If you want to learn more about motorhomes, don't miss the Motorhome School! There are a wide range of sessions, with different themes, such as "Laws and regulations", "Technical Q&A", "Choosing the right motorhome" and more.

5. Camping kitchen

The camping kitchen offers lots of food inspiration and can be found in Ekdungen in the outdoor area. You can meet food pirate Sanna Ohlander (cookbook "Matresan"), Sweden's Master Chef 2024 Tess Medina, Master Chef Gabriel Jonsson and food creator Alexandra Truedsson (Instagram account @matochmarang_). 6. camping cinema

On Friday and Saturday, it's time for a camping cinema on a big screen, outdoors in Ekdungen. Bring clothes for the weather!

7. Destination of the Year

We, at FREEDOMtravel, will be awarding prizes for "Destination of the Year Europe" and "Destination of the Year Sweden". New this year, the Swedish award has been voted for by FREEDOMtravel readers and Elmia visitors, via the Elmia website. The nominated destinations are: High coast, Karlskrona, Mariestad, Lysekil and Helsingborg. The winners of the award will be presented at the fair, on the Destination Stage in Rydberg Hall:

• Friday 13 September 16:00: European Destination of the Year 2024
• Saturday 14 September at 16:00: Destination Sweden of the Year 2024

8. Oktoberfest

As usual, there will be an Oktoberfest! On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, there will be a party in Hall F (the big tent), between 19:00 and 23:00. Don't miss it!

9. In the

There will be dancing both Friday and Saturday night, in the South Lobby.

• Friday 13 September 21:00-01:00: The dance band Fernandoz plays a mix of country and 70s music. 
• Saturday 14 September 21:00-01:00: The Highlights dance band plays its songs, such as 'Angelica', 'Someone like you' and 'Wherever we go'.

10. Elmia's influencer corner

The fair will feature an 'influencer corner', a meeting place for bloggers, instagrammers, youtubers and other digital creators. If you have your own account, you can meet like-minded people and those you follow on social media. You can also get tips and advice on how to set up your own account. You can find the Influencer Corner on the balcony in Lobby South.
