We are travelling to Greece! So far we haven't travelled much in Greece at all, unfortunately. But now it is time, and we are looking forward to it. We plan to discover Rhodes and Karpathos.

To Greece
On our 2015 motorhome trip around Europe, we made a short stop in beautiful Ioannina in Greece, but our main target at the time was Albania. Several years later, Peter went on a press trip to Cassandrabut that time I, Helena, could not come along because I was working.
These two short trips are our only visits to Greece so far, and although both trips were enjoyable, the time has not come until now. We have been invited down by the regional tourism organisation in Karpathos, and we are combining this with a private visit to Rhodes.
Rhodes
On the way down we fly with Aegean Airlines to Rhodes, with a stopover in Athens. On the return journey we fly instead with Norwegian, then directly from Rhodes to Stockholm.
We are starting our trip in Rhodes, so we have decided to have a look around this island before continuing on to Karpathos by boat. Rhodes is a popular tourist destination with beaches, sights, entertainment and shopping, and we will spend about three days here (1.5 days at the beginning of the trip and 1.5 days at the end of the trip).
Karpathos
From Rhodes, we will continue to Karpathos by boat, which takes about four hours. We will then spend a week on Karpathos, where we hope to experience everything from dramatic nature to beaches with turquoise water. Of course, we will also discover food, culture and traditions.

We will of course tell you about the trip and write reports here on FREEDOMtravel, as soon as we have time. We will also update on social media, especially on Instagram at @freedomtravelnews.

Oh how lovely for you! I love Greece 🇬🇷. I have been to Rhodes many times, both as a child and in recent years. A small selection of tips, which you probably already know: Anthony quinn beach, kalithea springs, old town Rhodes town, Lindos and a lot more💙.
Karpathos should be very nice too, njut🫶🏼. My personal favourite is Naxos🇬🇷💙./ Pernilla

How nice! I have worked on Rhodes, Karpatos and some other islands and am very fond of Greece in general. Was the first time on Rhodes in the early 1960s. Then it was an untouched pearl. In the 1970s I worked there and have since been back a few times but it is not a favourite island. Renting a scooter and getting around is nice. Saw that you got some tips. I have travelled a lot by boat in Greece and visited many islands and have then started with the family from Athens. Naxor is liked, as well as Leros, Samos, Zakynthos Antiparos, Kalymnos, Amorgos - Yes, the number of islands is many. And just to go boating gives great opportunities. I used to like Santorini very much but now too many tourists. And islands where the big cruise ships dock, in my opinion, lose much of their genuine charm-
Have a good time and enjoy the journey. And maybe you'll come back for a boat trip.

How marvellous! Have been to both Karpathos and Rhodes.
Funnily enough, we are also in Greece right now, a new destination with our friends. We are on the mainland and near the village of Sivota, which is close to Parga which is a well-known tourist destination.
Fantastic views, it was a bit crushing with thunder and lightning the first day, but today we have enjoyed the beautiful weather and a warm Mediterranean!
Have fun!
