We've reached November, and it's unexpectedly bright and sunny. That alone is something to be happy and grateful about, right? Our week has been filled with meetings, events, luxuries and ... a boat trip.

One last trip to Ringsö in Lake Mälaren
Our good friends Lennart and Beata are about to move to Spain. In connection with this, they have sold their lovely summer house, on Ring island in Lake Mälaren. We have been there so many times. Often to help build or install something (most recently it was an incinerator toilet!), but also because fishing in Lake Mälaren and to just socialise.
Now we went out one last time, among other things to pick up some stuff. A bit sad, we must say, not to go to beautiful Ringsö again. But everything has its time. In the future we will visit Lennart and Beata in Spain instead!
Meetings and events during the week
We've also managed a bunch of meetings and events this week. There are many companies that want to collaborate in different ways - which is great! - but it's far from everything that becomes something or feels relevant to us. However, we're taking meeting after meeting ... and we'll see!
We also attended an event this week where we met representatives from many different destinations, flights, hotels and tour operators. There were many good meetings, which may also lead to some good collaborations!
Jordan was the main sponsor of the event, and clearly managed to capture our interest. We would love to visit Jordan at some point. Who knows, maybe it could happen! Have you been there?
Houseboating and November luxury
November is usually a dark and rather dreary month, but so far it has been unusually bright and beautiful, with sunshine and autumn colours. Lovely!
We have also taken the opportunity to enjoy some goodies, now that we are home. We found some Finnish onion roe in the freezer, which we had left over from a party, and then we took the opportunity to make a luxurious toast!
Sedan love we believe that eat crab in the autumn. This autumn, there hasn't been a single crab - until now. So good!
Time for the drinks fair in Stockholm
Today we plan to visit The drinks fair in Stockholm, which runs Friday - Saturday 15-16 November. The fair is described as "The biggest cocktail event of the year", so it will be exciting! Anyone else going?
Best this week
The best thing this week? It's probably that we've had time to settle down a bit. When you catch up with emails and meetings, it's easier to relax, quite simply.
Your turn ... what has been the best part of your week?
The week ahead
We'll be hanging out in Stockholm for a while longer. At the end of next week, however, we will be travelling to Tallinn, for a weekend with spa and other exciting things! Here at freedomtravel.se, there will be a focus on food and wine, in different ways. Don't miss it!

Jordan is stunningly beautiful, I wish I had seen more outside the tourist magnets Petra and Wadi rum. Last winter there were extremely few tourists because of Gaza and I imagine there are even less now.

So sad with all these wars! Feels like there are many wars going on now, and hard to feel hopeful about the development.

Have been to Jordan but many years ago. Was there the first time in 1964 and was back in the late 1970s What I remember was very much to see and experience. And at that time there were not so many tourists either. Guess it is not now either, but for other reasons.

Mud roe and crab, what a lovely autumn treat! Understand if you feel a longing for beautiful Jordan even though it may not be tempting to go to those regions right now. We are so happy that we were able to go there for a couple of months before the pandemic put an end to all travelling. We found it one of the most fascinating countries we have visited.

So nice on the mälar islands and saw the house. It was very nice and airy inside, beautiful and everything seems so good. A little sad anyway to sell but everything has its time as it says.
And nice that you could relax a little now. We have done it for a day, just decided and how nice it is and suddenly you fix a little more because the energy comes. Pretty hard to be retired I must say😄it requires a lot. Have a good time in the week to come.
