Svenska Husbilsgruppen AB acquires Hobby Fritid i Tenhult AB

Svenska Husbilsgruppen AB, the owner company behind Sweden's largest second-hand dealer of motorhomes and recreational vehicles, Svea Husbilar, announces that it is acquiring Hobby Fritid i Tenhult AB. Since its inception in 2016, Svea Husbilar has grown explosively and currently operates three facilities in Mora, Norrtälje and Kinna. Through the acquisition of Hobby Fritid - one of Sweden's largest retailers of new and used recreational vehicles with a workshop, accessories store and showroom - the group is expanding its offering.

Plentiful and locally sourced when Viking Line serves up this year's Christmas table

Viking Line's Christmas buffet will be served from 14 November to 26 December. This year's Christmas table consists of over a hundred dishes, and almost 80 per cent of the ingredients come from the local area. The highlight of the Christmas table is the diverse selection of fish. New this year are the Christmas flavours served in rustic wooden boxes: air-dried ham, roast beef pastrami, duck breast, reindeer pâté and cheeses. There are plenty of vegetarian options: 25 hot and cold vegetarian dishes in total.

Travel patterns have changed after the pandemic and Swedish travellers continue to choose European city destinations over long-haul destinations. Booking statistics from travel agency Ticket show that London, Barcelona and Amsterdam dominate city breaks in November. Most popular city destinations in November:

Reflection of the week

Visit Sweden's marketing campaigns are really entertaining sometimes we must say. Loved the previous one which was about Sweden (not Switzerland).

Interestingly, Rolfs Flyg & Buss is launching a feature where single travellers can find a roommate. Last time we read something similar it was an April Fool's joke (from Strawberry), but now it seems to be for real!
