It's time to welcome Christmas for real, and at Axmar Brygga in the idyllic archipelago of northern Gästrikland, it's done with style and tradition. On 22 November, they open the doors for this year's archipelago Christmas table - a homemade and atmospheric Christmas table that combines classic flavours with exciting news. Here, tradition and innovation meet in a perfect symbiosis, all in an environment that breathes history and archipelago magic.

Tradition and innovation on this year's Christmas table
The Christmas table offers all the classic dishes you'd expect, but also several exciting new additions. This year's herring with thyme and cranberries puts a modern spin on tradition, and Axmar's Jultryffel will be a dessert favourite for adults. At the carving table, lemon and tarragon marinated pork fillet, venison sausages and our famous cognac sauce make a comeback to the delight of many.
Atmospheric environment
Christmas dinner can be enjoyed in our historic restaurant with its shimmering cinderblock walls and fireplace, or on the large glassed-in bridge with panoramic views of the wintry archipelago. For larger parties, there is our banqueting hall, the Berndt von Schinkel room, while the Brita Behm room is perfect for smaller groups.
Suitable for everyone - from families to large groups
We offer something for everyone:
- Family Sundays where children up to 5 years old eat for free and older children pay SEK 10 per year.
- The small Christmas table for smaller parties (at least 30 people) at a favourable price, 399:-, late lunch on weekdays. Also open some days for smaller parties.
- Pitch for motorhome guests eating Christmas dinner, only SEK 99 including electricity.
- Possibility of transport by bus for larger groups and accommodation packages at Axmar's cosy B&B.
Christmas plates - extra ordering options
For those who want something a little different, this year we offer three Christmas plates that can be pre-ordered:
- The cold cure: A selection of our most delicious charcuterie and cold cuts.
- The hot box: Classic Christmas dishes served hot and full of flavour.
- Axmar delicatessen box: A luxurious selection of our finest Christmas delicacies.
Please note that these plates are separate from our traditional Christmas table and only available by pre-order.

Otherwise, there will be no Christmas food, Buy what I / we like in December.
So food doesn't have to go in and out of the fridge.
