There are many cities where you can walk the streets and visit casino after casino. These travel destinations are often luxurious, warm and sunny. If you want to take a trip to an iconic casino city - or just have fun planning one - you need to know what the most iconic destinations for a casino trip are.

Join us as we take a look at the most popular casino destinations, which are packed with both casino hotels and independent casinos.

The most iconic playground in 2025 - your sofa

Maybe not the most exciting destination (Or? What do we know?) but clearly the most comfortable. And it's like they say; away is good, but home is best. If you're looking for the widest possible range of casinos, games and odds, it's really the mobile phone you should pick up.

For players who miss the social aspect of a casino, live games are among the range of blackjack at LeoVegas and many other casinos. A live game allows players to take part in a real round of poker, blackjack, craps or whatever it is they want to play.

You stream the game and can chat with both your live dealer (who deals cards and entertains players) and other players. It can also be a fun way to practice if you're planning a casino trip and don't want to be completely rusty.

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Vegas has long been a symbol of casinos and therefore an obvious item on our list of iconic casino destinations. It is partly the favourable laws of the state of Nevada that have made Las Vegas such a casino city and at the time of writing there are around 175 casinos in the city! This makes it a great destination for those who don't just want to play at one casino, but are happy to explore several different gambling venues in a single evening.

In addition to casinos, Las Vegas also has the advantages of sunny and nice weather, white beaches and a very lively atmosphere. If you love lively nightlife, Las Vegas is a great city to visit, even if it is a bit far away from us living in Sweden.

Monte Carlo, Monaco

Our next location is in Europe and therefore it is a more realistic travel destination for many of us. Monte Carlo has become almost synonymous with the perfect travel destination for casino lovers. There are several world-renowned casinos here that offer the most luxurious possible experience to visitors.

But that doesn't mean casinos are the only reason to visit Monte Carlo. Among the things to see here include beautiful caves, historical museums and the prince's palace.

The best time of year to visit Monte Carlo in Monaco is during spring as this is when the weather is at its best and there are many attractions and activities during these reasonably warm months.

Macau, China

The island of Macau in China offers over 50 different casinos to explore. The impressive buildings and beautiful lights at night are enough to mesmerise anyone. The city is lively and exciting - the perfect place to spin the wheel and hope for the best.

But if you're travelling all the way to China, don't stop at Macao. For China, we recommend staying as long as you can, as you almost certainly won't be able to explore enough even if you have years to spare.

China is very big and has both fascinating cities with sky-high buildings, beautiful landscapes and cosy villages. Don't miss out on tasting authentic Chinese food either! You won't regret it. Read more about travelling to East Asia in our guide.

Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA

Right now, there are 9 luxury casinos to visit in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The soaring buildings, beautiful white beach, and warm climate set the stage for the perfect night of gambling.

When you're done gambling, you can also take part in water activities or just enjoy the beaches. Atlantic City is a popular destination for casino enthusiasts and other tourists alike, making it a very easy travelling destination that offers everything a visitor could need both in terms of accommodation and activities.

London, United Kingdom

When you think of London, casino might not be the first word you associate with the city. But London is actually one of the top casino destinations in the world with many great land-based casinos to explore.

When travelling to London, however, you should make sure it's during the summer if you don't want the whole trip to be rainy and grey. Not that there's anything wrong with a bit of rainfall per se, but we actually think we have enough at home in the UK. Check out these London activities you can do on your next trip.

Travel tips for your casino trip

However much you love casinos, we recommend that you take the time to explore not only the city's casinos, but also the other things to see - and perhaps even plan a couple of days in a more rural part of the country if possible.

Playing day in, day out gets pretty tiring, so we recommend sticking to a maximum of one game night at the start of your trip and one at the end. This will give you time to see other things and something to look forward to during your trip.

Planning to see the rest of the city will also help you have a better experience overall, whether you win or lose. If you win, you'll have extra money to spend on activities, and if you lose, your whole trip won't be ruined because you had other things planned.

Conclusion

Whether you're lounging at home on your mobile or heading to Las Vegas, Monte Carlo, Macau, Atlantic City or London - or perhaps somewhere else entirely - it's an adventurous and open-minded attitude that will set the tone for your trip. For those with the right attitude and a love of casinos, any of the destinations we've mentioned could be a trip you remember forever.

As always, we recommend that you don't plan too much, but let some spontaneity guide you on your journey. That way, you won't miss out on the adventures that pop up along the way!
