It feels almost unreal - as it always does when you're going on a long journey - but now we're actually on our way! The motorhome is slowly rolling south and we have lots of exciting adventures ahead of us.

A busy week in Stockholm

The last week in Stockholm before departure was hectic. There were lots of meetings and lots of things to organise.

On the last night, Peter got up and cooked - a big lasagne and a big mince pie. He then portioned them both out, so now we have some easy meals to start the motorhome journey with!

We are on our way!

Then it was time to pack into the campervan! We were careful not to forget anything (which we hope we didn't!) but we didn't mind it getting a bit messy and chaotic. We have time to fix and organise as we travel. The most important thing is: Now we are on our way!

The first days of the journey - visit to Elmia!

We started the trip with just under a week in Sweden, and the very first destination was: the Elmia fair, where we met the organisers to drop off some stuff and talk about planning!

Scandinavian Caravan Show is taking place this year on 10-14 September and we will be there to talk about some of the destinations we have in mind, including France and Italy. See you then, right?

We couldn't drive any further, so in the evening we stopped at the car park at Din Husbil in Jönköping.

This is how we will travel

So, where will we be travelling to? On this trip we will seek out new exciting destinations to write about, while we will look for different gems and exciting destinations to tie together packages for our travel agency FREEDOM Xplore.

The trip is off to an intense start with several collaborations booked. We will first go to Poland and then we will make a detour (by plane!) to Croatia, for a special adventure. When we get back to the motorhome, France awaits, where we also have a special experience booked. And after that, there's more of France and Italy to come...

The best thing this week? Well, for us, of course, it's that we've set off on this year's long motorhome trip! We have lots of adventures ahead of us, which we love! What has been the best part of your week?

The week ahead

During the coming week we will be mostly in the south of Sweden, and towards the end of the week we will take a ferry over to Poland. We wish you a great Friday and weekend!
