Landek Park in Czech Republic - camping and mining museum

Landek Park is a mining museum in Ostrava in the eastern Czech Republic, and there is also a nice campsite. We visited the museum a few years ago, and on this year's trip we stayed at the campsite, as it has a good location when visiting Ostrava. The campsite is a good stop if you're travelling by motorhome, and the mining museum is well worth a visit even if you're travelling by other means.

Radegast railway station in Łódź - Holocaust memory

Radegast train station in Łódź is a historic railway station, known to have been used during World War II to deport Jews to the Łódź ghetto or to various extermination camps. Today there is a memorial here, which we have visited. An interesting and very powerful visit, which we do not want to undo.

Mount Praděd in the Czech Republic - down the mountain on a scooter

Mount Praděd is located in the north-east of the Czech Republic and is 1492 metres high. We made it to the top and then went down on ... a scooter! This was a real adventure, we promise. In addition, it was a temperature shock. The day before we had +28 degrees and bright sunshine - at the top of the mountain we had +8 degrees, wind and heavy fog.
