Yesterday we were invited to an event by the Chinese Tourism Administration of Henan at the Sheraton Hotel in Stockholm. The province of Henan was presented, and it was really interesting. China is one of those huge countries that we know far too little about. Ditte Akker is an experienced traveller with a keen interest in culture and nature who has seen many different places in the world over the years. After an 11-hour (uncomfortable) flight, we arrived in Xiamen, located on the coast of south-east China. The airport is really in the centre of the city. We almost licked the rooftops on approach, where people were hanging laundry, or whatever they were doing.

In 2006, we travelled on the Trans-Siberian Railway from Moscow to Beijing, via Mongolia. What a journey! We didn't have a blog at the time, but we have many memories. Every now and then we get questions about the trip, so we thought we'd tell you a bit more about it. After all, it's one of our coolest trips ever!

Can you take a motorhome to China? I have been to China twice. The first time I flew there. The second time, Peter and I took the train. You can probably guess how we would like to go there now...
